I bought 2 of these so ( maybe ) my husband could repair my rock/ swivel favorite chairs. I had bought these 2 chairs at an estate sale way back in early 2000’s. I had them upholstered in a beautiful exotic floral upholstery and after paying that, I’m not about to let them go. These new bottoms worked very good; they were the right size. Unbenownest to us one of these chairs had been worked on before our purchase at estate sale, so the undersides now did not look the same. My husband is never a quitter, of anything. He worked on these 2 chairs for 2 1/2 days and finally they work great. F Y I: anyone wanting to replace undersides of rocker/swivel chairs, check undersides to see if they are the same. It would truly help, if they do match. Whew!! Forgot; yes, these were a very good purchase!

Fit perfectly on my nursery recliner. The 4 holes matched up on point. Did not come with extra screws but that’s okay. Now my recliner feels much more sturdy and reliable. The noise level is very quiet. Did not come with instructions but not needed. Thanks to this seller for a good price of $48 and to Amazon for delivering it in 2 days.

Worked perfectly to turn my stationary chairs into swivel chairs. Had to build a wooden block base to attach them to.

Converted a rocking chair into a swivel rocker with this base. Good quality metal base with large mounting plate. Installation was very simple even without any instructions (used 1/4 inch diameter stove bolts with flat washers and lock washers). Very study and works great. Well worth the money spent and saved on buying a new chair.

This swivel has transformed our nice but not used comfortable chair We have a few of the same chairs throughout our house 4 in total We’ve changed the covers and added new bigger chair cushions/pillows and the chairs are nice. The circular design of the chairs makes them compact and great for adding to a space without taking up too much space. We bought a swivel to add to one of these chairs, to be able to rotate or move the chair without picking it up to watch tv, or face the other direction to have a conversation etc…… I had to add, some blocks of wood to the bottom of the chair, just to be able to mount the swivel to the base. Once I figured this out the next thing to consider will be the circumference of the swivel to the bottom of the chair. Ideally the chair should be bigger than the base but each chair will be different. In our case the bottom the chair is the same size as the swivel and because we have a cover on tbt chair it hangs low enough to cover the swivel The reason for the blocking on tbt bottom of the base of the chair is to : - Maintain a similar height of the chair off the ground. This swivel is very low profile, so the height has to be added back to the chair in order to still be able to use the chair I had to use lag bolts to mount the swivel base to the bottom of the chair, but if the bolt heads are too thick they hit the arms that support the round metal bace that the swivel sits on. (Just something to keep in mind) The actual rotating assembly is smooth but has some friction/pressure The chair now swivels and rotates like expected. It’s like a brand new chair and somewhat more comfortable to sit in Some factors to consider - the chair is a lot heavier than it use to be - moving the chair is now not as easy do to the added weight (blocking and metal swivel) - now that the chair rotates, the back of the chair will touch, brush/scrape the wall (most chairs lean back, so you now have to pull the seat/chair forward so when you rotate the chair doesn’t hit the wall) - our chair is placed on the hardwood floor. The metal swivel base has very hard plastic stops/nubs (they could scratch the floor especially if someone tries to move the chair while sitting on it. I’ve added some silicone tubing to the entire metal base so the silicone/rubber hose encases the metal base. This has protected the metal to wood contact, and acted like a rubber isolator. Overall this was a nice modification to our existing chairs, it’s heavier now and you have to carefully move the chair if expecting company The bolts that mount the base to the chair still sometimes make contact with the metal base of the swivel base but that’s if you are rotating the chair from one side to another (I could possibly “grind” down the head of the bolts to provide more clearance) Overall was a nice change to renew our existing chair
