I have an Ellipse PRO 1500 running a 55-inch TV, Stereo, and two PC-style computers. If the TV and Stereo are off, the UPS says I'm drawing 138 watts, and the UPS expects to be able to run for 41 minutes. With 1 watt = 1 Joule/second, that's about 340,000 Joules. If I turn on the TV and Stereo, the power rises to 442 watts, and the run-time drops to 7 minutes, 26 seconds. Now the total energy available in Joules is down to 197,000. I hope these two data points tell you what you need to know. **Q: Is the LCD always on, or can it be turned off?** A: It goes to sleep **Q: lithium or lead acid battery? I am looking for a supercap UPS?** A: Sealed lead-acid battery. **Q: Does this have an alarm for when it is running on battery? If so can it be muted at all times?** A: The 3S350 does have an audible alarm when power is removed, beeping once every 3 or 4 seconds. Unfortunately, it is not very loud. Depending upon where it is placed you may not even be able to hear it. There is no way to silence the alarm.
