Calories for this bar are 260 which is a ratio of 4.13 - i think it's important when your hiking to restore some of the calories you're losing, get you through the next signpost Protein to weight ratio is .27 - which is not the highest but fairly good. No chocolate covering. Smooth, almost buttery taste; not chalky! I like it a lot, but if you are concerned about sugars, this definitely is something to be concerned about the sugars are quite high here (13g) but at least there are no sugar alcohols. Also, the bar is fairly high in calories from fat and is 23% of your daily value. This might explain its buttery taste, but I am completely fine with it - it negates the chalky taste for me. Thanks for such a superior product. So many bars on the market are too close to junk food quality with sugar, too many additives and over-chewy texture. The only problem, and it Is big!, is that arrived outdated by a few months and were rock hard. This is the greatest challenge with Amazon products; they do not monitor outdates well. Same problem with some vitamins/supplements. Some things you just have to buy from a store (if you can even find them!), but can at least validate outdates. These protein bars arrived a bricks, but could not be determined with opening sealed outer box/container.
