I know, I hear this all the time, why don’t they supply these like they used to?Money & waste.I have a half dozen guides of varying styles I have picked up for cheap at estate sales. They seem to end up not being used by many people.None fit my Dewalt. I have two other saws they do fit.I couldn’t find this in store so ….AMAZON !This is well built, good welding, nice durable finish, easy to grasp knob. The slide has a nice fit in the slots and doesn’t wobble like many will do. The guide bar is long enough to provide an accurate cut.Only issue I can see is the tiny spring on the knob. I am going to lose that quicker than a speedy toddler.I suppose a dab of loctite will keep it in place? One improvement I would recommend, measure marks along the slide. Would kill it for set up time. And increase length by around 2-3”.Great for ripping boards or trimming a small piece off the ends of boards.Job sites or at the house, this will give great performance for a long time to come.

Excellent Fit
Used in my Dewalt 20V MAX XR to cut some plywood for a 12” Wide cabinet. Worked very well, cuts were straight. Very functional and can be used for a multitude of projects

Needed this to trim about 8” off a bunch of sheets of plywood and this worked perfectly for the job.

Pretty Good Overall
To start with, my wife bought me a very nice DeWalt 7-1/4" Circular Saw for Christmas last year, and I needed the right size rip guide to fit that saw. Turns out that DeWalt saws all take the same guide, so that is nice, no confusion there. I have finally used this a few times and am putting together my thoughts on this rip guide. The Good:It is made out of some pretty heavy metal stock, so it is deff not flimsy, and will hold up. The metal is also galvanized, so I am assuming it is steel, but what is good about this is that it should not corrode over time either. The measurements on the main post are pretty darn accurate too, as long as you know how to use the correct mark on the table of the saw depending on which side of the blade you want the measurement to be accurate on. I always do a small test, and measure and very seldom do I have to adjust it. There are a lot of other brand saws that also use the same dimensions for the main post, so I am sure this would work with other brands. I think it is the same as Porter Cable, I know it is wider than Makita, I do not know if the threaded knob that holds it in is the same though, but most saws come with that part anyway (most except for my DeWalt that is).The Bad:My only complaint about this item is the mounting screw. The knob is very small diameter, so it is kind of hard to get it finger tight. It does not have to be very tight to hold it in place, but this is a little bit of an annoyance. The knurled like edge is not very grippy either, so that adds to it. I would have preferred a larger diameter or some type of wing nut style handle. Overall though it is functional enough that I haven't sought out something else.Overall though I am happy with this item, kind of a must have for a circular saw.

GREAT FOR TRIMMING SMALL EXCESS OFF PLYWOOD
I was delighted that this fence can be adjusted as close to the blade as one wants/needs. My very 1st cut needed to trim 3/8 in. off existing plywood in situ 26 feet up on a roof at an awkward angle --- which is WHY I bought the DEWALT DWE575SB saw, fence and blades. Did the job perfectly. I later did a cut in the shop where the fence nearly kissed the blade and even that worked just fine (rotate the guard back to start the cut under these conditions). The very long lateral adjustment bar can stick out far on the other side. If that interferes with acess, buy another and hack saw the excess off so you have a short one and a long one. The in-line rip guide is also longer than most, which helps guide the saw straight so it doesn't tend to bind. Since the saw does NOT come with the fence - be sure to include it on your order!

Does not fit Dewalt 20V Max circular saw
I purchased this for the DCS391B saw but they do not fit together. The DCS391B attachment opening is 12mm, this fence's attachment bar is 16mm. I am disappointed that this basic accessory was not included with the saw. I am also disappointed that Dewalt only has this one rip fence on the market and vaguely describes it as a fit for most of their saws, but the product description here does not list all that it does or doesn't work for. Calling customer support only got me a model number for a Black & Decker rip fence, part number 381091-00. But if you look at reviews on that one, most of the negatives point out that it does not come with a locking nut or retaining spring. So if I return this with all of the hardware and buy the B&D one, I'm going to have to buy the fence + nut + spring. Also it looks like only third party sellers are selling that item and I'm not able to get it quickly. What a pain in the....

Check the size.
Make sure to check you saw for the correct size. It is not one size fits all. Had to send it back but that was my fault.
