This is a great mat, although I did not like how it was folded when it was shipped. I simply heated it with a heat gun and placed it under a carpet and after a couple hours it flattened out. I advise anybody to do this before returning it. Overall, it gets the job done and it is easy to clean!

Update 02/28/23 - Came back here to say this mat performed exactly as expected with a recent accident my cat had. He’s a little big for his box & over-sprayed. I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t notice it for a day. The mat absorbed it spite of the his spray dripping off the edge of the box for hours before drying! My floors were untouched. I hand washed it with enzyme cleaner pre-treatment (soaked for 15 min), regular laundry detergent, & a 10 min soak in laundry sanitizer. No smell! I laid it out to dry & in an hour it was COMPLETELY dry. I was shocked. If your cat has a serious urination issue, it might not work if saturated very heavily, but for the occasional vomit or miss of the litter box, this is an excellent option. 10/10 would recommend!!First and foremost, don't panic about this not "flattening out." This mat flattened out for me in 24 hours when I placed the litter box on top of it. The mat also advises using a hair dryer to help flatten any creases, but I didn't even need to do that. I also did not detect a smell after 24 hours and after 48 hours, any signs of a scent were completely gone.Pros:- Traps litter almost completely: I use pine pellets with my cat and while this was already a low-tracking litter option, it does still track enough that I was having to sweep around the litterbox daily to keep it out of the rest of my house. Now I only do this once a week! The mat traps all of the sawdust and even captures escaped pellets.- Easy to clean: I simply lift the honeycomb top layer and sweep away the sawdust from the waterproof bottom layer with a small hand broom & dustpan, but it's equally as easy to empty this by picking it up and emptying into a trash can.- The honeycomb material is soft & still sturdy- so far has held up well- I appreciate the XL size of this mat. I have a large cat, with a large litter box, so the extra real estate is appreciated to help it fit under the box completely.Cons: None!Notes:- I could maybe see the honeycomb getting torn up if you were to walk on this a lot. However, if only your cat will be walking across this, I don't see it being an issue.- I have not tested the waterproof effectiveness of this mat

The material is easy to wipe down and it does a good job of catching the majority of litter- as long as my cat doesn't jump over it lol- I do wish the two long sides were also sewn together as it makes picking up the mat a but more of a task, but since I have to sweep the floor anyway the fallen pieces don't bother me too much. It took around 2 days to flatten and another 2 to be completely flat against the ground.

Makes cleaning much easier.

This mat is a game changer! The bigger the better. It really does capture those tiny pieces. The only problem is the wet stuff. You really need to take it out and hose it off therefor losing any litter you might be able to save. I use pretty litter and this saves me a lot. It's even soft on my bare feet! 😁

I've had cats all my life - and I now have 4 adult cats. My cats are not allowed outside as it is safer for them to be inside cats; they have never been outside nor do they want to go out. So, of course, we have a couple litter boxes...and before I bought these matts I tried everything, and I mean everything, to contain the litter and keep it off the floor. Nothing worked until I got these matts. Cat litter is so much fun to step on with bare feet ... NOT!! I have heavy duty plastic under the litter boxes and extending in front of the litter boxes. Then I put this matt on top - it fits perfectly and stays in place in front of 2 litter boxes which are side by side. This matt contains ALL the litter and I no longer have litter on my vinyl floors. Originally I purchased 2 of these matts in a smaller size and laid them side by side. Then I saw this big one, which fits perfectly in front of the boxes. When it has litter in it, I just pick it up and hold it over the litter boxes and the litter falls back into the boxes. So easy, so convenient. This is the best litter containment item/system I have ever seen or tried. It's great - a must have for a cat owner with a litter box.

We used to have litter all over the floor. Since.We got this little Mat.It keeps all the litter under the Mat.It's so great. Also very light weight easy To clean We bought.2 for our one kitty. I highly recommend.

The product was easy to clean,very big and works great keeping the litter in.Just be warned ⚠️ make sure your cat has scratchers around and safe items for them to destroy..bought this item after my cat had surgery,had to remove her cat tree that was her "scratcher",she scratched a part of this litter matt instead.If your cat is quite destructive this item might not last you much.

This mat really works! I’ve tried a bunch of different mats and none of them kept the litter off the floor. This one does! I’m getting a second one for my other litter box. FINALLY!!! Very pleased

I bought this to replace my old mat that was worn out and impossible to keep clean. This one how ever is a breeze, it comes clean with little effort. I love that it doesn’t absorb water it wicks right off. I will say that the picture is very misleading tho, it’s definitely not that big, which is perfect cause it fits perfectly where I need it. If your considering buying this,don’t hesitate. I promise you’ll love it

I have three cats, two are very large and litter tends to scatter. Their litter is in the basement, and I have these under their litter boxes and surrounding them. They keep the litter from scattering around the room. Close to the litter boxes, the litter goes down into the honeycomb so that I am not walking on litter. The mats stay in place when I walk on them, but because my cats sometimes fly around they do move them a bit. I absolutely recommend these mats.
