Review: Nice looking, but weak fan and light - This is a very nice looking fan and fits well in my home office with 13' ceiling (added 24" downrod). Assembly and install was straight-forward. It has good heft at 27 lbs. However, the light output is almost non-existent. I even replaced the included 300 lumen bulbs with 500 lumen, and it's still anemic. I recommend you only install this if there are other light sources in the room, or you dont need this as the primary light. The fan blade noise, as others have mentioned, is quite noticeable...not the motor, but the small-ish blades are not quiet even at lowest speed. The fan output is ok, but just expect noise especially if you increase to medium or high speed. Certainly doesnt compare to a traditional large blade fan. I'm keeping it, but be aware of the limited light and fan noise. It's also quite expensive at full price.

**Q: Is the light bright enough for a bedroom?**
A: It is bright enough for my daughter's bedroom which is roughly 12 x 13. She does have another reading lamp next to her bed. One thing that I didn't realize about this fan/lamp (which my daughter figured out) is that when you hold down the light button on the remote, it gradually brightens/dims the light. So use the brightest bulb possible and you can always dim it if you want. When you turn the light off/on, it will turn back on to the last brightness setting.

**Q: Do the fan blades collect dust and are they easy to clean?**
A: Because the blades are enclosed the blades won't collect dust as quickly as a ceiling fan that has exposed blades. However, because they are enclosed, it will be a more time consuming process to clean them.

**Q: What do i need to  order to attach to a slanted ceiling**
A: The fan comes with a cap and a short pole.  You probably will have to order a  longer pole...pending on how tall the ceiling is and where you want the fan to hang.  It is a wonderful fan and the light on it is very nice also.

**Q: I have a low ceiling.   How 'short' can you make this fixture?**
A: I have an 8' ceiling and the fan drops 16" using 4.5" downrod that comes with it.  That only works because it is over the bed where no one walks under it. You can purchase a separate kit directly from Fanimation that will mount closer to the ceiling.

It’s ok. Not much to say about it. Price was a bit high. Light is too dim and not much air movement. All straight down or straight up. Looks good though.
