We replaced our old, buzzy, 8ft tube lights with two of these 8ft LED’s. Extremely happy.These are sleek and modern/premium looking when off compared to many out there. They look great (as much as garage lights can anyway). Wiring them directly helped keep us from seeing any cords or cables. Wiring was necessary as no plugs were included, but no more difficult than any other light fixture wiring. Installation was easy as they are quite light, but a second set of hands was helpful since they are awkward to hold up and screw in alone.I did initially buy a different set of 8 individual 4 ft led tubes on amazon which I planned to space out around the border of the garage, but I found the wiring included was not rated for in wall installation, and the idea of installing 8 more boxes, or daisy chaining them with visible wiring on my ceiling was a turn off. I did plug them in and believe overall they were some of the brightest lights I’ve ever seen. If I close my eyes I still see spots (kidding). However after 5 minutes I found my eyes were very uncomfortable and I decided MAXIMUM light was not necessarily as important as proper/enough light.I also think for a low ceiling where the lights are fairly close to you, fully clear light tubes can be harsh. The frosted/opaque tubes like these seem to produce light that is bright but not quite as intense, softer perhaps?.Bottom line, these lights cost a little more than some of the other options out there, but ultimately offer a nicer end result producing plenty of quality light for most standard 2 car garages. I thought I wanted the brightest garage lighting possible but now that I have seen the light, I am very happy I bought these.

These lights are overall an amazing buy, incredible really. They are the brighter than you can imagine...almost too bright. Install is super easy if you know basic electricity. They feel and look a little cheap for the price, like, I imagine it's just an LED strip inside a huge plastic housing. It must be the transformer you are paying for, which still seems pricey for what it is.Now that my garage is so bright, it feels washed out, devoid of life. I will now need to spruce it up a bit to get rid of the barren, sterile, hospital vibes.TLDR;Great buy, too bright, cheap feeling, worth it.

I researched shop lights thoroughly for my new 36' x 48' barn. These Hykolity 8' LED Strip lights got great reviews for brightness, value, and ease of installation. However, a number of purchasers noted their lights were damaged or bent when they were delivered. I took the chance that my six lights (3 sets of 2 each per package) would not suffer the same fate. It was not to be. One set were significantly deformed from rough handling during shipment. One set was slightly bent, but easily manipulated back in shape. One set was fine. My electricians put them up and 2 of the 6 lights looked awful. Once unpacked and up on the rafters, it was highly unlikely they could be repacked and returned. I was able to work with the electricians to bend them a little here and bend them a little there and make the best of it, but you should know that this is a possible if not likely outcome of the inadequate packaging of these lights.Because they are LED strip lights there is no rigid bulb or light frame. In fact the housing is about the thickness of a beer can. How likely do you think an 8' long beer can packed in one layer of cardboard box would make it unbent from China? I don't blame the manufacturers. Two sets of the lights made it to me relatively unscathed. I think it is more likely the last mile shippers who might be less likely to handle a bulky yet flimsy eight foot long package with TLC.So, be forewarned. The lights are fantastic. Bright, clean light that will cost pennies compared to incandescent or fluorescent lights. Inspect the boxes as soon as they arrive. If you see creases or evidence of bent cardboard, don't accept it. As a note to Amazon and Hykolity, if you just put a stiffener of some kind in the cardboard packaging it would eliminate most if not all complaints like mine. Great lights but you roll the dice they will get to you nice and straight.

The 8' box came in slightly bowed. But since these are led lights figured just straighten them when Installed. Easy to install light weight . For this length I should have used 2 people. But installed solo. Would recommend and buy again. Super bright. So far no issues.. great price and quality

These lights are bright, light weight and easy to install. They look so nice you could use them anywhere. So glad I bought them, eliminated the danger of breaking tubes.

We were very pleased with the lights. The LED's work so much better than the florescence we had in the garage.
