WEN WA0392 120V 15-Amp Momentary Power Foot Pedal Switch for Woodworking

Wired this switch to operate the PTT on an Icom IC-7300 amateur radio transceiver. I used the 13-pin DIN connector that came with the radio and some spare rotor control wire. It worked perfectly! If you don’t mind tinkering, this makes a wonderful ham radio foot switch at a great price.

This foot switch is great for using on my router table and operating the shop vacuum on my dust collector on my tablesaw. I may get another so that I don't have to switch from one to the other. The price is a bargain and a caveman could figure out good uses for it.

I bought this for my small Ryobi bench grinder, which I use to sharpen mini lathe and small bench tools; it works perfectly with it. The petal is well-build and has a strong cord. I like the length of the cord so I don't have so much extra needless cord laying around. Of course, if you power plug is far away, you might need something with a longer cord. The ability to turn the grinder on and off with your foot, and having both hands free to hold my mini lathe tools, allows me to turn this bench grinder into a low speed grinder. This is the hack I thought might work and it does, at least for my purposes. My little shop has no room to spare, and I don't have the space for a variable speed, or low speed grinder. Even the smallest oneds are always bigger than single speed grinders. Plus I have build this one in and set it up with the (amazing) Peachtree replacement tool rests, and don't feel like starting over. I hold my foot on the petal for just a few seconds, then remove it, and do this off and on so the wheel never gets to the high speed of around 3000rmp. I was deciding between this foot petal or installing a dimmer switch. Since I don't use this grinder for heavy grinding, and really not that often, a dimmer switch might also be a good option, but it is not great for the motor, and can kill it over time. Not sure how turning a grinder on and off effects its longevity either, but in the end, this was only a $60 grinder. And I love the hands-free operation this foot petal allows. PS. My foot petal's label says "15 amp".

Put this on my grinder when I made sausage. It worked Great. Sits close to the floor and easy to use.

I bought this to free up both hands when using my Wen scroll saw before I even realized that you can use it with anything up to 15 Amps. A great value for the price like all Wen products, this well made foot switch is seeing more and more use in my small shop.

I primarily use it for the dust collection in my shop. I pull the petal over to the tool and save power between cuts. It is a good size for my foot. light. easy to install. and functions as expected. It proves it durability my being kicked around the shop. Over and over again.

I bought this not realizing it was a momentary switch hoping it was just an on/off foot pedal switch, hoping to use it with my table saw. However, upon realizing it is a momentary switch I have pivoted to using it for my trim router. The product works fine for this purpose though I wish it were rated a little heavier for 20-A instead of 15-amps. All in all a good quality switch and expect it to last me basically forever.

Very well designed product. The quality of construction indicates that it should last many continuous on/off cycles. I bought it for use with a scroll saw (2 amp current draw) which will be easy for it to handle. The power cord(s) are of very good quality. In addition the foot peddle has a non slip pad on it. It is not the least expensive but the quality factor justifies the cost. If required I would buy this item again.

Life saver!!! I use this for a couple tools(not sumultaneously) ill attach my dremel for cutting, or my bench grinder for sharpening or polishing. This allows for hands free power control. Highly recommended! Will buy more for sure so I dont have to switch the tool attached to the one. Works well, small for easy storage.

Got this to use with my electric log splitter. Well packaged. Received relatively fast. I needed a way to surrcumvent the power switch and this does it.I did have to slightly modify the power button but that was easy. Works well,long cord so the splitter can be elevated for comfort. Leaves one hand free for holding the log down. Solid build. We'll see how it works in a Canadian winter. So far I like it.

I use it for my Dremel and it's a must have when building model kits! You can keep the tool in yous hands and start it when you're ready.
