I’ve been using these USA made Olympic barbell collars for five years now, and they’ve held up exceptionally well. The locking mechanism is still strong, they keep my plates secure during heavy lifts, and I haven’t had any issues with them loosening over time. It’s nice knowing they’re built to last. One of my favorite features is how easy they are to clip on and off the bar. As you can see from the photos, the quick release lever makes changing weights fast and effortless, even in the middle of a workout. They lock into place with very little effort but still feel incredibly secure. If you’re looking for durable, easy to use barbell collars that will stand the test of time, these are an excellent choice. After five years of regular use, I’d buy the same pair again without hesitation.

Have used these for a week now and they appear to work fine. They hold on the barbell tightly and seem to be well made.

My favorite thing about these the grip strength. They hold the par incredibly well when using them on plate-carrying dumbbells. The only thing I thought that could be better is the release tab. The tabs are very short making it harder to release than necessary. However, if you aren’t changing plates frequently, that won’t be much of a problem. Overall, they are pretty darn good and I don’t have to worry about slippage.

5 stars at the ~~$12 price I purchased them for. They do not work especially well for anything over 300 lbs, but under this they are a very pleasant change from spring clips. The reason I gave these five stars is because I consider them a "cheap" foray into the market for this product. You can go into any store that sells lifting gear and find a similar product for $40-$50, and you can find $40-$50 versions on amazon or elsewhere that deserve five stars at a much higher weight limit. Frankly, I don't mind that they wobble a bit out of place when I drop a deadlift. They certainly do their job, and I've never come close to pinching anything yet. Also, even if you're basically dripping in sweat, you can operate the little one-finger flick and release thing with ease so there's that. I doubt I'll replace them for a long time. I have a feeling I'll bust them from blatant abuse they weren't really meant for before I truly want new ones. Oh yeah, they're plastic with metal bits, so there's no finish to rub off or scratch off.

Does exactly what they are intended to do. They have a firm fit and allow no movement of the weights. I got the red ones and they provide a nice contrast to the silver of the barbell and the black of the plates.

These barbell collars are good quality. I currently use them on my barbell. They work quite well. They are a bit pricier than other barbell collars, but they're well worth the money. I use them for Squats, Bench Presses, Rows, Bicep Curls, and other exercises. I have encountered no problems with them so far. They're a fantastic product. If you own a barbell, buy these collars. You won't regret your purchase.
