2 summers ago I planted 150 give or take a few sunflower seedlings. I used one of them hand held bulb digger tools. What a nightmare that was. I paid for it for a good week or 2, I could still feel it in my right arm. Never again! I bought a garden weasel bulb digging tool recently as I had 56 bulbs to plant. Digging was fast and furious and it took no time at all to get the job done. Best of all my knees, arm and back don't hurt or ache. Best gardening tool I've come across in ages. Every gardener NEEDS one! Extremely well built, no assembly required.

Buddy loaned me his, and next to the 6 he has, were various other models that are all flat edge bulb tools that don't puncture through weed barrier at all well. So this tool wins hands down, literally and figuratively. A+ product, A+ delivery, A+ for my needs. THansk for making a tool that does a very specific combined job on bulb holes and barrier cutting at the same time. NOTE: have a 2x2 and small plate/wood plywood in a bucket so you can push and save your plugs for backfilling after you do 10-15 holes and root stock, or plugs in your nursery.

I decided to make some additions to our backyard I planted hydrangeas, blueberries, elderberry… you name it. Tons of new plants and this tool was amazing an easy to use. I used this at 5 months pregnant and so easy to pull and to create the perfect hole for all roots to expand. Worked amazing for some veggies I planted too. Excellent weight!

I really like this planter. I had 80 bulbs to plant and this was a great time saver. Also bending over planting can be hard on your back, this saved my back for sure. Creates the perfect sized hole with the perfect depth. If your planting multiple items in one area, make the first hole plant move to the second and you can easily use the material pushed out from the second hole to fill the first. It's a great time saver. Super sturdy and easily to handle.

Easy to make a hole about 3-4 inch deep.Who wants to plant a lots of bulbs, it will be so useful.

First of all if you are giving a 1 star review because you cant remove a cardboard tube.. you have the iq of a potato.This tool is impressive. I planted 88 ferns and pachysandra into soil which has 2-3” of nice compost at the top and pure red clay below. Id pull a plug, push it out and crumble the plug to back fill the hole. It took me an hour to go through 2 flats of plants. Glad I didnt use a hand mattock.This would also be amazing for core aerating ugly lawn spots. You could backfill compost and manure and just load the soil up nice and deep. The holes are not too wide, and pretty deep. Im going to try this on a slope where theres washout.
