We have patio curtains and the wind keeps trying to take them away from us. We bought curtain magnets thinking they would help. However, they are literally as small as a button. They do nothing! We needed stronger magnets. This bar said it's heavy duty and it can hold tools. We figured if it can hold things like hammers and monkey wrenches, then it should be able to hold two little measly curtains. It never worked better. This magnetic bar is so heavy and thick, It clings to the metal railing so fast you need to watch your fingers! Now our curtain blows but stays put. We almost have to pry the bar off to move it. The magnet is solid black so it blends right in with the railing won't even know it's there, especially when our curtains aren't drawn out. It is definitely versatile. We didn't use any screws because it attracts straight to the metal bars. It's so easy for us to use. We don't have to worry about tying our curves to anything using tape or these horrible little button magnets that the wind laugh at. These bars are kind of pricey but I believe they're worth it. We bought one just to try it out and couldn't wait to buy more. So far we have two. Just in case you're wondering , this magnetic bar can hold tools well also. However, my hammer tended to slip. I'm not sure why but it's fine because I'm not using it for tools.

One small suggestion: adding a third mounting point at the bottom would make this already excellent design even better. I have mine installed on thin drywall, and when I pull off heavier tools like a hammer, you can feel a slight flex from the magnetic pull from the wall. A welded third bracket would completely eliminate that movement and make the bar rock‑solid on lighter wall materials. Even with that note, this is the best magnetic tool holder I own. The strength, build quality, and overall performance make it absolutely worth every penny.

These are great. Super strong magnets. Has no problem holding my hand-held sledge hammer.

I got 2 of these but not for tools..... I put them on the Water intake pipe to reduce scale. Magnets could reduce scale by changing polarity of the scale as it passes thru magnetic fields. I think it works because I don't see water spots or build up on faucets. No scientific proof, but a cheep $60.00 experiment to fix a hard water problem. I chose these because they are strong & already mounted and so easy to tape onto my water pipe. 2 strong magnetic bars for $60 and some electrical tape -- a cheap experiment I think works.

I like it. Stupid expensive for what it is but it actually works. Strong magnetic force that hold even fairly heavy tools well.

Outstanding strength. The design allows for all kinds of utensils to be held because it is mounted far enough from the wall or refrigerator for deep (like a dipper) or fat (like a whisk). The fact that the screw holes are not hidden, makes it very easy to mount on my 250-year-old house's walls. I would strongly recommend this product.

These are, without doubt, the best magnetic tool holders I have ever had. Very easy to mount on the wall (no fiddling about trying to match screw positions with the holder when the blessed holder itself is obscuring the screw heads) so they may not look quite as pretty as those with invisible attachment but, in a workshop or kitchen (yes - I have one for my chefs' knife collection as well) who cares? Because, thank heavens, they have seriously strong magnets. Of course no seller is going to advertise their products as having weak magnets, so they are all described as 'heavy duty'. The vast majority are, in my fairly extensive experience over many years, at best, 'medium duty'. These boyos are definitely 'heavy duty'. Amusingly they come with a warning that the holders may suddenly spring together under magnetic attraction, and cause injury. Oh yeah? Well, they did! Nipped my finger in between two ends. No drama, just a skin cut. But the warning isn't just advertising hype, that's for sure. They may not be the strongest out there - I can't say that because haven't tried every single type. But they are certainly the best I have found thus far, and by a significant margin. And no, I haven't been paid for this review! Just honest praise where praise is due is all.

Very strong magnet, holds my garden tools no problem at all. I got cheaper ones but nowhere near strong enough. They are expensive but I only want to buy 1 and buy right so bit the bullet. I must warn they are crude in the sense the strong magnets only have some sort of electrical tape over them so not ideal in your kitchen but great and perfect in a shed like mine is
