At Night, I Become a Monster

Can't put into words well, but I do know this was amazing.
I'm not going to make a summary and spoil the plot completely, but I will talk about some things that may or may not count as spoilers to you. So if you want to go in about as blind as you can, than avoid the reviews I guess.I'm going to assume most of you have seen or read "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas". I wasn't a fan of Pancreas myself, well I liked it and didn't hate it, just not my thing. It was more of the plot of it now that I think about it that didn't catch me. I really love the writing of this author though, and "At Night, I Become a Monster" was amazing like holy gosh. I loved the plot of this, it is labeled as psychological and it lives up to that. How he set up the characters, how they had their own separate roles and all, amazing. There's a lot of harsh reality shown in this book. The author managed to portray so much things in this book so well, how hard it can be for us to accept things, to not question things and to just move along, how our opinions can seem to mean nothing if others will outcast you for it, a sad trapped way of living. It's rare for something to exceed my expectation multiple times than what I expected. And it's not like I even had low expectations for this, I was waiting for this impatiently for a few days to ship through. I expected something of a romance, it sure did give off the vibe from how it looks. But it is much more than that. The two main cast don't really have any actual romance, like Pancreas, and just like Pancreas, they have something more, a very special bond. A bond that isn't exactly romance, friendship, or even a family-type bond. A bond that lets you both be able to expose your inner self with one another, a deep connection you usually only have with yourself, a bond when you show something you usually should only show yourself with another person. One thing I love about this, everyone in this story is understandable. Doesn't mean you should like them, some characters you hate because you get to actually understand them. Shown their ugly intentions. How messed up people can be.

Amazing
Just finished the book a minutes ago. The story of the book is really good. I really enjoyed it the whole. I like that it's so different from "I want to eat your pancreas", but at the same time amazingly good. I don't want to spoil details for anyone, because the content is powerful, just want to say is a must read.

I want more...
For me, the ending made me wanting for more... that's just how good it is... and it left me with so many questions as well that I wish would be answered but there's no sequel so far... I wish the author would at least give this 1 or more volumes...

Terrible translation
Good story but the translation is just awful. Many of the sentences are akward or just grammatically incorrect. Just read a fan translation online or use the money to buy some McDonald's. It's a better use of your money than buying this book.

Incredibly gripping
A story set in junior high that develops a very interesting relationship between the main character and female lead, with this exploring a completely non romantic avenue and instead goes into the nuance of their respective position in their classroom
