The Perfect Summer (Hubbard's Point) Mass Market Paperback – July 29, 2003

This one was a page turner, people’s lives turned upside down by greed. Love the descriptions by the author of the water and the seasons.

After being disappointed in Safe Harbor, I almost ceased reading this next book in the Hubbard’s Point/Black Hall series. Am so glad I didn’t as this was well written and very enjoyable. I’m now anxious to go onto the next one

Many unbelievable turns in the story to keep you pulled in. So many tragedies and triumphs. Also enjoy that Luanne keeps the characters from Hubbard's point in jer next stories.

Easy read. The characters are full of personality. Just a fun summer read! Waiting forward to reading the rest of the series!

The ups & downs in a marriage and the destruction that can be caused by greed & selfishness. The story addressed many aspects of the lives of families which included the sad ways in which some young people handle their hurts by hurting themselves. I thought the story was perfect for anyone to understand the feelings of each person that lived this life in this book. I continue to be impressed with the author!

This Luanne Rice book is a classic novel of friendship, love,betrayal and redemption ending with a hope of better times. Always with a bit of mystery to it.

This is my first Luanne Rice novel and I really wanted to like it. It started out with great promise and an intriguing mystery.Unfortunately, the majority of the next 200 pages were spent talking about everyone's feelings. Finally, on page 355, the story gets moving again.Seemed like a good summer read. I did read through to the end and was fairly satisfied with the conclusion, but most of the time I was urging the characters--including the bad guys--to just get on with it.I'll try another one of her novels. Could just be that she never quite fleshed out the plot of this one.
