First impressions of the lens are that it is of good quality and nice metal fittings. Once I sussed the way to connect it to my iPhone 12 mini I managed sone half decent macro images. The lens produced crisp and clear images. Depth of field is shallow but that is expected for such close work. So far I am very pleased…..

I bought this excellent value for money lens as I’ve recently become interested in macro photography. I think it’s great as a starter. I have an iPhone 11 and it works fine with that. I enjoy taking photos of insects from my garden and this lens has definitely enhanced my experience. My family and friends are amazed at the detail in the photos.

This APEXEL macro lens is a bit of a mixed bag, but mostly in a good way. The first thing you’ll notice when you unbox it is the build quality, which honestly feels a lot more premium and solid than I expected for a phone attachment. It has a nice weight to it and the AF coating on the glass gives it a high-end look that matches the "Ultra HD" claim. The zoom is genuinely impressive and lets you get shots that a standard smartphone lens just can't reach. However, there is a definite learning curve to using it. Because the magnification is so powerful, you need an incredibly steady hand to get a sharp image. If you’re even slightly shaky, the focus will jump around, so I’d highly recommend using a tripod or propping your phone against something stable if you want that perfect, crisp shot. Overall, if you have the patience to line up your photos carefully, the results are great. It’s a solid bit of kit for anyone wanting to get into mobile macro photography without spending a fortune on a dedicated camera setup.

I'm disappointed as it seemed good quality but it doesn't fit my Nokia XR20 - nowhere near the lens in fact, which is situated in the centre of the upper half of my phone. This seems to be designed for phones with lenses in the upper corners. Had to return it.

Clips on easily, takes good pictures, all as advertised. The only thing to be aware of is that the depth of field (eg. on my iPhone 11) is quite short. This is nice for blurring of backgrounds but it makes taking photos of active things (like insects) hard sometimes. The image is also only in focus for a small range of distances (although as specified), so if eg. a flower is too large then it cannot be photographed.

I think the lens did take pretty good photos and it seems well made... it doesn't feel flimsy at all, but, I found it wouldn't stay in place very well. I have a samsung 22 ultra and the phone has 4 lenses... the one I needed to use with this lens was at the edge of the phone and the lens just kept slipping off :(

This lens is very good. I got it to take pictures of my fish. Fish swim around and don't stay still so with other macro lenses you have to pick a spot and wait for the fish to swim into it. But with this lens you can be about 7-10cm away from the subject and the auto-focus will grab a great shot! Picture quality is great as you can see. The lense is quite big but the clip to connect it to your phone is very sturdy and it comes with protection covers for the front and back as well as a cleaning cloth and carry bag. Great product - worth the extra money 👍

I’m a nature photographer and I usually spend my hard earned cash on telephoto lenses to get closer to my subjects. I’m currently saving for a 600mm prime lens so I didn’t want to spend a grand on a mirrorless macro lens. I opted for this Apexel professional macro and paired it up with my old iPhone XR. It’s a perfect fit and the results are impressive - the detail, sharpness, colour rendition and bokeh are all there! I’m sure a devoted mirrorless macro lens would yield better results but for $40, I have zero complaints. I’ll continue to use this lens for my trout fly macro photography.

Très bien. Il faut juste trouver le moyen de ne pas bouger en prenant la photo, sinon caler le téléphone. Mais l'objectif est parfait et s'adapte très facilement. Merci.

Direi che le foto parlano da sole! Ho un iPhone 12 Pro, e con questo obiettivo macro riesco a fotografare senza fatica anche i soggetti più piccoli! La qualità dei materiali di questa lente è super, non è plasticaccia. Inoltre si adatta praticamente a qualsiasi smartphone in quanto è possibile scegliere la posizione in cui bloccare la lente alla clip. Altro punto a favore: non bisogna avvicinarsi completamente al soggetto per riuscire a mettere a fuoco, si può stare anche ad una distanza di 7cm! Lo consiglio vivamente!
