Farmer's Market Organic Sweet Potato Puree, 15 Ounce (Pack of 12)

My favorite brand for vegetable purees. I usually get pumpkin or butternut squash as I find them super versatile for adding texture, flavor, and nutrition to a variety of soups, stews, and sauces. I recently decided to buy this sweet potato puree because I have been making a lightly cooked non brothy vegetable soup for my young dog with cancer. I just wanted to add further nutritional support, and the added puree gives the finely cut vegetables something to stick to. I dont use a lot, but it makes me feel good to add this high quality component.I also like it for myself, for same uses as the butternut squash or pumpkin. I will sometimes just eat it cold by the spoonful, or heat it up. Add it to smoothies, soups, sipping broths, etc. Just works seamless with so many options.This isnt a thick puree. There is no water added but it is a tad thin. Nothing I consider negative, just figured I would try to describe it.Love this brand. Premium priced, but i dont rate on price. I try to watch for the occasional sale.

No dents in the cans. I have used these when baking. Everything turns out great. I am very happy with my purchase.

Their sweet potato puree is a really nice light and fluffy puree. As for concerns about packaging and freshness, my order (12 pack) arrived vacuum sealed in plastic in the manufacturer's box enclosed in a carboard base with side support, it was then placed in an Amazon box. The expiration date is at least one year out, so absolutely no complaints from me.

I’m using this product specifically for a sweet potato loaf in place of pumpkin. Also, one time I made a double batch and used one can of pumpkin and one can of sweet potato—same company. Only thing to mention is the sweet potato is not solid. You have to spoon it out of the can to get as much as possible—unlike pumpkin where it comes out in one shot. Otherwise, this product is just perfect.
