Homax - 41072045650 Pro Grade Wall Texture 25 oz, Knockdown, Water Based Aerosol Wall Texture, Gray/White

Great way to texture a small sheetrock repair. I had a repair that was about 25sqft total, and used 2 cans, probably should have used 3 cans, of knockdown heavy texture. Since it was a garage wall, no one will see the light texture in a couple spots. I'm not sure that starting with "test spraying" is necessary, since you can start with a medium spray, and adjust either way as necessary, with the surface likely needing multiple passes to achieve the desired coverage. This is a much better alternative than buying a hopper and mixing a slurry, which ultimately creates a real mess. Highly recommend.

After reading mixed reviews of Homax Pro Grade Wall Texture Knockdown Aerosol, I decided to give it a try. I watched online videos on how to use this product effectively, and followed the instructions written on the can, but despite my meticulous research, I couldn't get anything at all to spray out of the can. I submerged the can in warm water, as someone had suggested, shook it upside down for at least three or four minutes, removed the red clip, but absolutely nothing came out of the nozzle. I tried to send this product back for a refund, but was disappointed to find out it did not qualify for a return. Don't waste your money on this ineffective product!

I was able to perfectly match the existing wall texture but it did take a little practice. I found that applying a heavy spray pattern was the key to matching my wall texture.

I used the technique suggested by another reviewer of warming the can in warm water before using and then shaking until your arms fall off. Did not have any issues with spraying.

Read and applied the directions exactly as written.Spray was very hard to get started, the trigger mechanism is junk basically.Unit worked for about 10 seconds and it was able to glob/spit out about a 12tx6 inch swath before it just up & stopped. Can was still full. Nothing I could do got it functioning again.BIG waste of $$. Total junk!

Did not work or spray at the first use, or any attempted use for that matter. Can is obviously full, but will not do a thing useful... only infuriate me.

I had a project, building a half wall and I wanted it to look as close to my other walls as possible. So I got the Knockdown Aerosol and followed the instructions, shaking vigorously for the time suggested but when I started spraying there was hardly anything coming out and the pressure vanished rather quickly. My wall was 20sf but the covering was just very poor. But maybe it is just me.. never worked with that stuff before.
