This is the best skillet EVER
This skillet is practically indestructible. I am VERY hard on my cookware but this pan is up to the challenge. It is no stick, super easy to clean, and still looks new despite the abuse it takes. Well worth the money. I ordered one in every size.

Eggs don't stick.
I make eggs pretty much every morning, and I wanted to replace my teflon for the usual reasons. I'd read a lot of mixed reviews about eggs sticking to enameled cast iron, and since it was a concern of mine, I wanted to report back. Good news - if you use a few simple techniques others have suggested online, this skillet will cook eggs that slide easily across and out of the pan. It's ALMOST as silky as teflon, without the drawbacks.1. After initially washing, I heated some oil in the pan for 10min or so then washed it out, just to get the patina started clean.2. Pre-heat the pan low and slow (5 min at the 2 setting on my basic gas stove)3. Let the eggs sit outside the fridge for 10 minutes or so to take the chill off4. Once the pan's heated, throw in a small amount of butter or oil and let it come to temp and coat evenly5. Add eggsThe big thing is heating slowly and using fat - not sure how much the other steps help, but they can't hurt. In any case the result was great - I scrambled the eggs right in the pan and had zero sticking. Eggs slid right out and cooked perfectly. It's still early days with this skillet, but I'm hoping I can cook eggs (and other stuff) in it basically every day for the rest of my life without getting poisoned or needing to send for replacement every year or so. So far so good!

Worth every penny!
This is not my first Le Cruset purchase. I absolutely love this brand. Love that it cooks evenly and the same every time I use it. Mostly love that it doesn’t fill my body with non-stick chemicals. This little skillet is perfect for just about anything. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews - if you’re truly a cook and you know what you’re doing you will get so much use out of this and your food will turn out wonderfully. Worth every penny. Meat browns beautifully in it as well. Follow the cleaning instructions! If you do, it will stay like new. Do NOT shock a hot skillet with cold water!! That will ruin the enamel coating and void the warranty !!

Excellent quality and tradition
Le Creuset cookware has a reputation for being of the highest quality and performance. That has been my experience with the 10.25" skillet. We purchased the 9" skillet as well based on the quality of this one. Arrived well packaged and undamaged. Cleanup is remarkably easy and the pan will allow you to sear steak beautifully, or cook scrambled eggs without sticking. It is an incredibly versatile product, which we find we are using on a daily basis. Excellent purchase!

Love it!!!
I received my pan a week ago and absolutely love it! Cooks just like cast iron, with the black enamel you can preheat before adding oil or butter without ruining it, but you don’t have to worry about seasoning the pan or iron leaching into your food. I haven’t had an issue with food sticking and it’s been a breeze to clean. As with cast iron there’s no need cook on higher heat than medium-low as the pan gets really hot. All of my toxic non-stick cookware has been tossed in the garbage!

Good, sturdy skillet
Good, sturdy skillet. The only problem is that it is not a non stick pan. You have to really coat it with a little oil before cooking anything or else your food will stick to the pot. Stuck on food is difficult to remove. I had to soak in warm soapy water and then do a little scrubbing. Otherwise it is a good skillet. Once heated, it cooks nicely, and you don't have to turn up the fire too high.

Perfect Pan
Aside from being a beautiful pan, this is the most versatile and easy to clean pan I've owned.Yes, it is pricey and yes, it takes a minute to heat it up. But follow the use and care instructions and I'm sure you will love it as much as I do. One caution: this sucker is heavy, don't buy it if that's a concern for you.

Sometimes there is no substitute for quality cast iron.
Great for high temperature applications like scallops or filet mignon.Cleaning is much more work than nonstick but boiling some water in the pan after use frees up almost all of the gunk. Not as easy as teflon, but acceptable, and the surface definitely releases easier than our older, classic cast iron pan. Plus the enamel colors are beautiful. Salut to the French for creating something beautiful and functional.
