Elongated screw slots provide both horizontal and vertical adjustment. The bracket allows 1-1/2" of front to back adjustment. Review: Amish bedroom furniture - These brackets replaced the originals that had broken in my dresser almost perfectly. The holes were a little off but nothing my husband couldn't adjust. We bought an extra set as these will wear out & break again....poor design with a metal slide going into a plastic bracket.
