Telescoping Aluminum Portable Flagpole

The 8-1/2 foot pole worked well in yesterday's march. It held our flag up high and proud. I was able to wave it around without the tubes bending. Speaking of the tubes, it would be easy to misinterpret how thick they are from the default image. The top tube, for the 8-1/2 foot pole is about half an inch thick, and the bottom metal tube is roughly 11/16" thick. The flag included in the default image is not to scale for a 3x5 flag. The handle is easy to hold onto, gives a little more grip than the bare metal. The plastic clips held well. I carried zip-ties just in case one broke. It's lightweight. Wasn't a problem to carry it for a couple of hours. All in all, I'm satisfied.

Purchased the (almost) 15ft flag pole. Flew two flags with no issue in the Atlantic Ocean wind. Fast delivery. Compact about the same height as a beach umbrella when not extended. Works very well. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the top two clips were sliding and the flag was collapsing in the middle. I had to secure them with my no-slide hair ties which works like a charm. It makes it very easy for friends to spot our location on a busy beach day or to spot from the water or other jetties. I get a ton of compliments and questions. I would purchase again and would consider getting the 20ft one for shoots and googles. Plus it’s made in the USA. Win.

Cheap flagpole, but great value. Can't find another 20' pole for this price. I bought one of these a couple years ago for music festivals and camping. Worked good enough for 2 years, sometimes the sections get sticky but I always got them free. The plastic rings do nothing, it just seems to mess up with you "loosen" the sections too much. You have to "tighten" them with some muscle otherwise I rarely have a section collapse. It's not hard, but a child couldn't do it tight enough. At full extension with a flag, I feel like this is good for maybe 20mph wind tops. I've had TWO 3x5' flags going on a breezy day at a music festival, and this stayed up straight. I figured screw it, threw this in my truck bed at ~8' high, put a flag on it, lets see how strong it is. The top bent in half somewhere between 30-40mph lol. Bought another one because it still works perfect while stationary. So yes this has very thin aluminum walls and it can snap, but just be smart with it and you can't beat the price

This product is extremely poor quality. Purchased two consecutively. #1 - top knob came off and came lodged in the hard retractable cover of my pick up truck, causing almost $3000 and damage to have to replace my rear window, weather seal and the labor to remove the hard cover of my bed cover. #2 - the replacement came with the same top knob that came loose and lodged in my truck, missing. Very poetic. Avoid this product and spend a few more bucks on a better quality version

I really like that I can take this flag pole down and travel with it easily, but here are my opinions: 1) I like that it's collapsible. But it can be tricky to get all the twisting done correctly so it stays up while in use 2) I had lots of compliments on the height. I put it up on the back of our fifth wheel, with two wire ties to the ladder. It stays just inside the railing with no problems. When I'm done, I collapse it and store it underneath my RV 3) The clips to put a flag on are a little tricky and unorthodox. You have to have strong fingers to open and close those hooks. One would think you'd be able to leave the flag on, but not on this pole. I take the flag off every time I'm done and store it separately. 4) It's held up to the weather fairly well. 5) It collapses very small and fits great Overall I think this is a great product.

update: keeping 3 stars. Used it in a hitch "holder" at the MD bay area during Hurricane Erin's off shore movement. Although the flag pole itself withstood the wind and rain, the holder came down twice (i will review that next), so I cant tell how well it would have held up. We had to add a lot of duct take to the bottom of the pole to keep it firm in the holder. It was difficult to tighten and loosen the sections. original: only giving it 3 stars for now, because I haven't put a flag on the pole yet. Really feels flimsy. Bars get much smaller in diameter as you extend it and I just can't imagine the pole tolerating much wind.

We use this flagpole on our motorhome, in the desert, while camping. I wrapped it with LED lights so that we can see our camp from miles off. I love this thing. It seems to hold up to the wind well. We had 20+mph wind during our last camp-out and I had an American flag and the LED lights on the pole with no problem. The pole bent pretty much in the gusts and I was concerned that I might not be able to retract the pole. It retracted fine and didn't lose any of it's shape. As a side note, I wrap the 15' long LED light strip on the pole and leave the paper on the sticky side so that the pole can retract without taking of the LED light strip. I just wrap each end of the strip tight with a wire tie. It works great. I can retract it to about 7' long and stow it in the M/H bedroom for travel.
