I keep these Bamboo Toaster Tongs on my tea bar. I like mixing my tea by the pot for what my body needs at the time. I obviously use regular amounts of black or green tea to start if it's a morning or afternoon tea, then use these bamboo tongs to add smaller amounts of herbs to taste or if I'm having stomach issues. The tongs make it easy to grab smaller amounts of cardamom seeds and star anise, to add to the grinder. Or small amounts of calendula, ginger root, any herb really. For evening, I usually use regular amounts of chamomile while using the tongs to add a bit of mint, calendula, and usually just a bit of lower caffeine green tea for the health benefits. The tongs are easy to wash by hand after use. I don't have a dishwasher, but I wouldn't put them in a dishwasher anyway. I use a mild detergent, and I don't let them soak. I simply wash them and hang them on the drainer to drip dry or use a clean cloth to wipe them dry. They are very easy to take care of. For a side note...Our toaster sits next to my tea bar, so my husband does grab them to take the toast out of the toaster as well. He states they save him from burning his fingers on hot toast and Poptart's. I highly recommend them for their ease of use and many uses.

These are very nice utility tongs. They look lovely and are super easy to use, clean, and store. They are sturdy and made from one piece of bamboo - the grip is perfectly comfortable in your hand and I've used them for everything from rescuing toast from the toaster, to fishing tea bags out of tea cups. I highly recommend these.

These are useful tongs but1 straight & 1 wavy pair have some rough spots in the wood which should have been filed down smoothly. I hope I don't get any splinters using them! The straight ones which I like best seem to be heavier than the wavy ones, although they seem to be the same thickness. The roughness makes them somewhat difficult to clean since these spots will catch the cleaning cloth or paper towel.

Very short, the length of my hand, need one that is 12 inches long. Thongs barely open wide enough to fit over a slice of bread. Small and cute to use for other things, great for eating noodles out of a bowl.

They are attractive and versatile. Well Made and easy and fun to use. I have had them awhile now and I use them at my many family dinners, brunches and they still look new (use a soft sponge to wash after each use).

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased these tongs to use in non-stick pans. I hear up my dog's dinner every night. I cook strips of meat and thought these would be perfect for a quick cook. They barely held up to two uses. I do still have one in tact. Two broke with no effort. One was placed into our dishwasher, which shouldn't have happened. The heat caused the glue to melt and the two sides of the tongs slid apart some. You can visibly see the glue on the in tact tongs. They are poorly made. I suggest skipping these and and buying some metal tongs with wooden tips or silicone.

Very handy kitchen tool. Have one sitting near our toaster, to help get toast out when caught. Great product. Strong and durable.

Great little tongs for my kids to use getting toast out of the toaster. We often toast waffles, however these tongs are quite narrow and take a bit of fiddling to open them wide enough to fit around the waffles. A slightly longer handle would work! However, we make do and they are a much better option than burning fingers!!
