Find Me by Anne Frasier is a gripping thriller that explores the dark legacy of a serial killer and his estranged daughter. Reni Fisher, an FBI profiler, agrees to accompany San Bernardino detective Daniel Ellis to the remote locations where her father, Benjamin Fisher, buried his victims. Daniel has a personal stake in the case, as he believes his mother was one of Fisher’s victims. Along the way, Reni and Daniel face their traumatic pasts and uncover chilling secrets that will change their lives forever.Anne Frasier delivers a fast-paced and suspenseful story that keeps the reader hooked until the end. The characters are well-developed and complex, with realistic flaws and emotions. The author also skillfully portrays the psychological effects of growing up with a monster and the struggle to find closure and redemption. The plot is full of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing and on edge. The setting is vividly described, creating a sense of isolation and dread.Find Me is a highly recommended read for fans of mystery, thriller, and crime fiction. It is the first book in the Inland Empire series, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author.4.6 Brkn Stars

Great Read
Loved the details about the desert. Looked a few things up out of interest. Loved the twists and the parts where you think you know, but no, you don't. Kept me wanting more. A definite page turner.

~~Into the mind of a Serial Killer~~~
I have not read a novel that was as intense, intriguing and thrilling for a long, long time. The author was able to engage me from the beginning of this one and the twists and turns kept on coming. At times the pace was frenzied for me.Family secrets are a major part of this one and the reader will not be able to see the repercussions until later..much later. Reni Fisher was a profiler for the FBI and an excellent one until she took medical leave. Her parents, Benjamin and Rosalind play, a major role in this novel, as well... Daniel Ellis, Homicide Detective, also has an intriguing part. The author has a firm grasp on human nature and delves deeply into the mind of a serial killer. Several scenes in an autopsy suite will allow the reader to gain knowledge about how DNA evidence is gained after death and also how fingerprints may be obtained many years later. (I always appreciate learning new facts when reading a novel and this one had many). The descriptions of the Mojave Desert were outstanding and the scenes with backgrounds in nature were exquisite. Characters are well developed and were coupled with a multi-layered plot which indeed created a fascinating novel. One quote which I loved....'..,There was no starting over for people...only progression'. This, I feel, is so true in life and can apply it to my own. This is my First Read selection for June 2020. And, will add that this was an excellent choice for me and definitely one of my favorites so far..Most highly recommended.

Chilling Prologue
Anne Frasier’s first book in the Inland Empire series, Find Me, is an impactful and chilling police procedural and psychological thriller. Benjamin Fisher, convicted of multiple killings, has finally offered to lead San Bernardino County homicide detective Daniel Ellis to the victims’ graves. He has two stipulations. The first is easy to accommodate (pie from a specific diner), but the second will be a challenge. He wants his estranged daughter FBI profiler Reni Fisher who hasn’t talked with or seen him in thirty years to accompany them. For the sake of the families, Reni finally agrees.Daniel is divorced, driven, focused, intense, and determined to help the families find answers and closure. Reni loves the desert, makes pottery to relieve stress from her childhood trauma, is insightful, sometimes doubts herself, and tends to have flashbacks. Both has childhood events that affect them and shaped their careers. After a chilling prologue, the story gradually builds momentum. However, there are several flashbacks that adversely affect the pacing. Despite this, they provide valuable background on the main characters. There are several twists and turns with some surprises and a couple that were more obvious. Despite a couple of over-the-top action scenes, I went with the flow and became engrossed in the deeply involved plot, incredible setting, and extraordinary, but flawed characters. The world-building is excellent and made the Mojave Desert come alive. The ending does leave a few open questions, but the main mystery was resolved.Overall, this was a story that hooked me and kept me turning the pages. The author did a great job of weaving the threads together. I look forward to seeing what is next for Daniel and Reni. Readers of mysteries and police procedurals will likely enjoy this series.I purchased a copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own. Publication date was July 1, 2020.

average at best
The story was okay, but the writing was terrible. I would say overall the book was average at best. I wouldn’t read anything else by the author

hauntingly realistic and well written.
Anne Frazier knows humans, what’s even better she knows how to translate that knowledge onto paper, her characters are truly alive and you feel their fight, struggle and pain. Her writing is fluent and her story fluid. She is not afraid to get her hands I to dirty psychology and the trepidations of the human mind. There is nothing predictable or standard about her topics. It’s not a genetic tale but a true journey told from a victim’s perspective, riddle with all the messy feelings. There is no hero worship or amazing revelations… I really loved this. It has been a long time since I encountered a natural story teller. Excited to read more of her work

More than just a bone-chilling, heartstopping crime thriller.
Oh my Lord ! I NEED AN OUTLET how I'm feeling right now. This audiobook is gonna give me a heart attack! It's not only heart stopping, it's nerve wracking suspense thriller. I wasn't warned this would be so intense. I felt sucked into the story in the search for the truth. Now it's slowly unraveling. I am blown away! My nerves are everywhere. I need to breathe, suck and think what I listened to last. This is just too good! I am loving it! Flawless writing and well crafted story. (This should be a movie!). It's the best novel I read so far this year. I couldn't say enough praise over this novel. I've been recommending and telling everybody I meet here in FB or my friends, even our baker in the nearby store, how awesome this novel is. This is definitely one of the best novels for 2020 Anne Frasier wrote a brilliant story of a new face of evil in this crime thriller. But it's also more than that, it's poignant narrative taps your human emotions as well underneath the gruesome crime. It was luck that I stumbled upon this. I wanted a compelling novel that lets me (as a reader/listener) think. And I got more than what I hoped for. The Audiobook is epic! It brought the experience of this novel into the next level. Perfect narrative and voice-acting performance! Flawless and soulfull.

Original & supberb
I finished this off as soon as I woke this morning because I had to find out how it ended and I’ve pre-ordered the sequel. I read a lot of thriller’s and this is among the best and has one of the most original concepts I’ve ever come across. I don’t think I’ve read a book where the main character is the daughter of a serial killer who was used as bait to lure his victims. There’s a sentence to give you the chills. Reni is tough but has been damaged by her father’s actions and blames herself for much of it. The media tore her family apart when it happened and Reni was seen as complacent in his crimes. In fact, one character muses the women would not have died if not for her. Is he right? Reni and her mother are still haunted. I thought I knew where the story was going then the author yanked the rug out from under my feet. WTF? I’m still reeling from shock. This is an incredible book and I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
