It leaves my hair so cleansed, it feels cleaner than when I use bottle shampoo. It's just hard to use when it gets to the end of the soap. I originally got it in a makeup subscription box and fell in love with it so I kept ordering it through desertcart. Review: Shampoo on a string - Shampoo bars are becoming more popular, which is good news for the environment. Although they tend not to lather as much as liquid shampoos, they can still clean hair and provide the same overall experience as a regular lotion or cream shampoo. The Daily Concepts bar is designed with an embedded fabric loop so that you can hang it up in the shower. Simple but brilliant addition that keeps the bar from melting into its own slime. The bar seems to be very drying. For someone with oily hair, this could be a feature. For me, it's a negative. Although the bar is allegedly equivalent to a 24-ounce bottle of shampoo, it's pretty small for the price. Overall, not very impressive.

Not Much Lather and Strong Scent
I like the idea of a solid shampoo to help the environment, but I want the shampoo to work for me too. This soap has a clever tie embedded in the soap so you can hang it in the shower. The directions say it will lather and it did, but not much. Solid shampoos with other brands have given me better results.

Misguided
It is important to begin with a couple of very important ground rules that must be understood when you read my or any review for this product. At the top of the list is that only the product itself is being reviewed and then only for its intended purpose. This needs to be stated because, although the product ad on this page does not disclose it, I have become aware that there is a fundraising group associated with the distribution of this item. Because they don't reference that here, the relative merits of their existence is not a subject for discussion, only the items described as a daily shampoo bar. HEAD SOAP When I was growing up in a blue collar family in the steel and coal producing industrial regions we couldn't afford fancy expensive plastic bottles of shampoos and conditioners. When we showered we rubbed the same bar of Ivory soap into our hair as we used to wash the rest of our bodies. While I can afford to spend five bucks on a bottle of shampoo these days, I still do wash my hair with Ivory, in fact I just did this morning. So conceptually the idea of selling shampoo in a bar form makes sense to me, there's far less waste of materials, plastic packaging, less chemicals to pollute and it can be made affordable to those less fortunate to whom five bucks to wash their hair is still a major luxury. So I was looking forward to receiving my order. WHATโS WRONG When it arrived I was disappointed, this stuff is wrong on so many levels. 1. The actual bar of soap is tiny, I was expecting something at least twice as large. Considering the cost of the non-renewable energy used to produce each bar, the waste of paper, the carbon footprint expended to transport from Mexico, store and deliver it I would say its minuscule size is inexcusably wasteful. 2. The chemical content, the ingredients list looks like a chemist's lab. Why are all those unpronounceable chemicals necessary just to wash my hair. 3. The bar is soft like semi melted candle wax. I'm not a disease control expert but that soft texture combined with the damp humid conditions of a shower room seems to be an ideal breeding ground for viruses, a major concern to me these days. And finally the jaw dropping price of twenty-four bucks for a bar of soap that will only last a couple of weeks. A price they charge with absolutely no guilt or contrition, making the act of washing one's hair something only attainable by the super wealthy. Even in the realm of the wildly over inflated world of cosmetics prices this product is inexcusable. RECOMMENDED, OR Try as I might I can find no redeeming practical value for this product. It would seem like just a bad joke and an attempt at price gouging, except in these time I don't find such excesses funny.

Very eco friendly alternative, lasted me 3 months on my oily fine hair, Do Rinse & Repeat!!.
My husband is an organic chemist who brought this sample home one day. Its lasted me 3 months. I love it on my very wavy fine oily hair. When I say oily, its very oily I cant go past 2 days without looking homeless. I coukd even use it without conditioner. THIS STUFF DOES NOT DRY MY HAIR OUT ALL !! To get a good lather wet it and rub the bar ALL over your head, work into a good lather! And do rinse and REPEAT!! sometimes I'll put a lil leave in conditioner at the tips, but I have to be careful because its that oily ! Love this stuff. But I will try the top rated one to see how I like it, because I'm tired of the clutter in my shower. I would definitely reccomend it for everyday use, camping, traveling or just looking for an Earth conscious choice ๐๐

Great Eco Solution
Works well, lathers up nicely, and has a great smell. Doesn't feel oily in your hair. Goes a lot further then a bottle of shampoo. Great for travel too.

I've been using shampoo bars for a while now and have learnt that there's a lot of trial and error based on hair type, water type and so on. This one, although mostly okay, wasn't great on my fine hair, slightly prone to oily. It left a bit of a residue and hasn't lasted that long. The rope was a good feature but overall, not a five star from me.
