Excellent little sensor with only one caveat.
I bought this to control led strip lights in a small closet, and I bought this one with the light sensor thinking that it was the version that you can turn the light sensor off, but I was mistaken. The closet is small enough so that when you walk in, the sensor detects you and turns on the light, but then it detected the light and shut off; then it realizes it's dark and turns on the light and shuts off again. I was about to return it when I realized that the entire circuit board slides right out. Under the translucent dome are two sensors; the center, square sensor detects motion, the round sensor on the side with the wavy line is the photoreceptor. I covered the photoreceptor with a tiny square of electrical tape and now it works perfectly. Please note: this is not a defect in the device, merely a side effect of having lights and a light sensitive sensor in a 2' x 5' space. The motion sensor works very well, the delay is adjustable, and I intend to buy more. Also, the delay on mine was set to minimum which also caused the light to flicker off and on but adjusting it even slightly more positive fixes that problem. It is a completely silent device, which was important to me, as the motion sensor switche we have in the master closet has an audible click when it activates the light (that one is a $29 Lutron Decora). Another note, it's much smaller than I thought it would be which is a huge plus! One last note: I'm using it with the Pautix LED strip that comes with its own remote that dims the strip; if you dim the strip to your liking and walk away, the LED strip remembers the last setting so you don't have to adjust it every time. I couldn't be happier with this setup over something like a WiFi hub installed product.

I bought 2, and am glad I did!
This little switch works wonderfully! I use it as a motion detector in my home's entry-way to turn on 2 meters of LED strip when you walk in the door after dark. It is unobtrusive and always works correctly! I saw some reviews saying that there was no way to adjust it, but I had no trouble: you simply pop off the back of the case with a small flat-head screwdriver and the three blue dials are all immediately visible and accessible. The sensitivity dial controls how close you have to be to the sensor in order to activate it, and I set mine to about the halfway point, so it wouldn't trigger when someone walked down the hallway a few feet from the entry-way. The delay time dial controls how long the light stays on once it gets triggered, and it is super sensitive! Just a degree or two can change the amount of time by several seconds! The Light Sensor dial controls the lighting threshold. What I mean is that it sets a light level that the sensor bases its operation around: if the ambient light (the amount of light already present in the room) is below the threshold, then the sensor will allow itself to be triggered and turn the lights on when it senses motion. But if the ambient light is above the light threshold, you can't trigger the sensor and it won't turn on. This turned out to be an incredibly useful feature for me, because it allowed me to play around until I found a value that starts triggering the sensor around twilight/dusk.A quick tip for using the adjustment dials:When you are trying to figure out your values for the Sensitivity and Light Sensor dials, have the delay time set to its minimum value, otherwise you'll be wasting a TON of time waiting for the lights to turn off to try new settings. Also, when you pop the back off of the sensor to get at the dials, be aware that the sensor's circuit board is not actually screwed into place inside the housing, and so will fall out if you turn it upside down... Now, I didn't find this to be a problem for me, but it may disconcert some people, so just be aware.Because of how useful these little sensors seemed to be (as well as how cheap they were!!!), I bought 2 of them on my first order and boy am I glad I did. Now I have set them up at both my front and back doors, and I'm even thinking about setting one up for my internal garage door! I really can't praise this product enough! Just keep in mind that they were never meant to control an entire room full of LED lights; the maximum current on this thing is only 3 Amps, so don't overdo it!

Easy to install and work reliably. Used them with a relay to control incandescent lights
This item solved a problem I had lighting a long, outdoor walkway on the side of my house. I needed an easy way to illuminate the path for people coming from either direction. The problem was that most motion lights could not monitor both sides of this walkway easily, or if they could, they would only control a spot light which was too harsh for my installation. I could have also used high-voltage motion sensors and wired them to an outlet, but then I would have had to install conduit. By using low voltage I was able to install them using small wires and zip ties without needing conduit. This replaced a couple of Insteon SmartHome motion sensors that broke over time. Since the company has since gone out of business I found that I had to DIY if I wanted to control the existing lights in a similar way. Using these, I was able to replicate the function of the Insteon motion sensors.I hooked two of these in parallel to a 12volt relay that was wired to an independent outlet in which I plugged incandescent rope lights. The lights were run the length of the walkway. Since there is one of these motion sensors on either side of this path, a person could approach from either direction and the rope lights will turn on (and anything else plugged into that 'controlled' outlet). I could have just used 12v LED lights and not needed the relay, but I already had the lights installed and wanted the flexibility to change them later on.

Nice little switch that does what you need it to!
Got this sensor switch for some LED lights i installed in my safe. Does exactly what I needed it to. Open the door, lights come on! Close the door and the lights go off. I did have to open it up and adjust the three adjust setting screws to get it the way I wanted. All in all, was super easy to install, and once I read the directions to see which adjustment I needed, it works great! It has a motion sensitivity screw, that detects movement nearer or farther, and a 'lights on' duration adjustment. If you are looking for an easy solution to have automatic lighting, whether in a safe, cabinet doors, or anywhere a motion sensor could help you, then this may just be the one for you!! Highly recommend!!

Good product and Value!
This motion worked out very nicely for me. I was looking for a way to light my gun safe. On YouTube I found a number of videos using LED lights to do this. One of them referenced this sensor as part of what they used along with the LED lights and power supply. I inserted the product link for them in this review so I hope they show up. It could not have been easier to do. Took me about a half hour. The results were excellent! There are three screws inside this unit to make adjustments. The information on the package is very brief and to me it was confusing. I started out by just setting them all in the middle and it was perfect! Several days after I received the item (and had installed it) I received with nice detailed instructions on the setting screws. I should have gotten it the day it shipped I suppose but it is helpful so if you are confused about anything just wait for the e-mail. If you're doing a gun safe check out YouTube. Otherwise a big thumbs up!inShareplus 12V LED Strip Power Supply 2A 24W, Wall Mounted 12V Switching Power Supply, 110V to 12 Power Supply for LED Strip Light with 5.5/2.1 DC Female Barrel Connector to Screw AdapterLE 16.4ft LED Flexible Light Strip, 300 Units SMD 2835 LEDs, 12V DC Non-waterproof, Light Strips, LED ribbon, DIY Christmas Holiday Home Kitchen Car Bar Indoor Party Decoration (Daylight White)

- The Smartest Sub $10 Nightlight Iโve Ever Owned!!!!
Love it.In the box is a diagram that shows what each set-screw/rheostat does:You can control-How long it stays onAt what brightness it will come on at WHEN it detects motion. It Detects motion, set-screw to set the sensitivity of the motion sensor. Now, I did have to buy a LED dimmer dial thingy - because without it, the strip light was basically auditioning for a Playboy Bunny Bar. With the dimmer, itโs perfectโsoft glow, no interrogation vibes.Middle of the day? No light. After sunset? Boomโlow glow. Installed it as a baseโcabinet LED strip nightlight in the bathroom. And now, when I stumble into the bathroom at 2 a.m., it politely flicks on dim, waits 30 seconds, then shuts off like itโs saying:โAlright buddy, youโve done your business, back to bed.โ

Easy to set up.
Simple elegant solution to auto lighting. I used two in parallel to trip the light from two directions.

and when they work are very nice for undercabinet use
I have needed to order twice as many as I need to account for the units which turn on and never turn off. The output transistor appearsinadequate, in my estimation, and overheats and promptly fails "ON". They are small, and when they work are very nice for undercabinet use. I wanted a unit with enough range to only pick up motion when a hand reaches under the cabinet to do something, not when merely passing by. Also the timeout ( time until connected load turns off) can be as short as about 10 seconds.

Easy to use
I used these to turn a set of Govee LED strip lights into the perfect automatic closet illumination! I love the fact the sensitivity and duration can easily be adjusted.

It works great!
I bought some of these do use to activate a custom LED strip within lower cabinets with a long lazy Suzan / pull out. I have only implemented one so far. While it does take some experimentation to set the on time, so far it has been working very well.

Didn't work at all piece of garbage
Terrible sensor and didn't work at all plus has 3 settings with the dials which didn't help at all the lights stayed on and never shut off. Tried all the settings ๐๐๐

Great Device
This has been fantastic. I walk into the room and my LED lights automatically turn on. Great upgrade for LED lights and well priced.
