Eliciting Sounds Techniques and Strategies for Clinicians, Edition: 2

This spiral-bound book was very helpful to me during my first semester of speech-language pathology graduate school! I regularly used the tips for eliciting sounds with my speech sound clients, and the tips worked well for them! The book arrived on time and as expected.

This is great to have on hand when your usual methods aren't working for articulation. Wish I had it 10 years ago when I started.

I like this book. I purchased "used very good" I see some pages and makes me think it could be a photo copied book. I am looking into returning it and buying the original copy for a full price.

I teach pronunciation to ESL students, and this book has taught me a lot of really useful tips that I can carry over into English education.

When it comes to ideas for treatment, eliciting sounds, and client/student progress in speech therapy, the more the merrier, I say. I am always looking for effective ways to get those I provide therapy for to accomplish the goals and objectives set for them, and this manual has some very useful tips. While it is smaller than I thought it would be, what's inside is concise and complete. And actually, the size makes it conducive to toting along with you to a therapy session (if need be). So far, it's proven to be a valuable resource, but it is a little pricey, in my opinion.

This book has been really helpful as a young SLP in graduate school. It’s clear in its explanation and there are pictures that help. Of course, there are many different ways to prompt for sounds but this book includes multiple ideas for sounds and examples of how to make a verbal comparison for an older child.

This is so over priced it is absurd. Please save yourself from buying this and just find free information online. This was required reading for a phonetics class and I never used it once. It's literally a photocopy that is spiral bound. Disappointed!
