Bosch GBA18V40-2PK 18V CORE18V® Lithium-Ion 4 Ah Advanced Power Battery, 2-Pack

What can I say. I own lots of Bosch tools. They fit my hand and never get more than 18V-4H. Others fall into the OMG, combo (battery and tool) is heavy. But this time, I bought them to power my cell when the internet went down (which it did). Great, inexpensive item that works well. Bosch had a good idea. The older batteries were 5+ years old and not holding a complete charge, but this dual just ramped it up. Also, the 18V-4H is much easier to put in and retrieve. I have a larger that I have to put it into my vise and "gently" tap the battery out. Not cool, but on the other side (since no reputable company actually makes tools for 100 lb women that have any oomph and are not pink) I don't represent the Bosch favored demographic. All well. Will continue being a customer.

The older design had a smooth bottom making it slippery to remove, but they added a groove! They last a long time on drill and surprisingly long on reciprocating saws. What better is one time, I had a battery that stopped showing it's charge on the charge indication leds. Using Bosch replacement system, I was able to get a new one fairly easily. Win wins.

Not much to say about them, they’re batteries. They were a great price, I get a little over an hour worth of usage out of them on my Bosch cordless sander, and that’s with the 4ah batteries. They do however take a long time to charge which probably has more to do with the charger then the batteries. But I will be ordering another two pack soon. It’s a great deal considering what Lowes is asking for them.

I date my batteries when I get them. I am still using 2.0ah Bosch batteries I bought in 2012! One is starting to lose it's longevity after TWELVE YEARS of use! These 4.0 batteries run tools forever, at a slightly higher weight than the basic 2.0ah pack. I grab batteries when they are on special and I just got four of these 4ah batteries to run bigger tools like saws and blowers. I have been a Bosch owner for 20+ years and have 17 tools that have run reliably and taken routine abuse.

So far so good. I really love (ok, like) my Bosch battery powered tools and the fact that they are using the same battery platform for so many years, and years to come.

Right product for the right thing

Buy the real deal. I purchased some off brand batteries and they didn't last. Just buy the real deal, buy once, cry once. I didn't do myself any favors buying off brand batteries that did last.

Bought these batteries in January, it is now November. 1 battery doesn’t take a charge at all, 100% dead. The other one does, but the indicator lights don’t work I have ryobi batteries that have lasted longer and with more abuse
