Pentagon Babylon Boonie Hat Coyote

I was hesitant on what size to order. I have a Propper brand boonie that’s a 7 1/4 so i based it off that size and came out as a 58cm. I ordered the 58-59 and it fits perfectly. It’s not squeezing my head tight but it’s also not flapping around loose. Obviously, with how it’s fitting me, i would need the neck string if i were on a boat or in a high wind environment, like most people would. But i did take the neck string off. I’m normally not one to use the adjustment neck string and usually just throw it behind my head. It’s a very long string. But i think i might put it back on and just cut it in length. This is a short brim hat. You will not get the same sun coverage as you would other boonies like Propper or Tru-Spec. However, i believe this one is much more comfortable and lighter. I really like how it has mesh on the inside and a moisture wicking headband. It is rip stop as well. All in all, i’m really happy with the hat. I’ve always had a wierd thing for the european style narrow brim boonies and Pentagon has been the name that constantly comes up. I’m definitly going to order a 2nd one in black and i might splurge on their woodland as well.

Excelente producto. Cómodo y de muy buena calidad. Sin embargo, se me hace extraño que tuviera que pagar gastos de importación a UPS acá en Colombia, cuando pagué el producto con sus gastos de envío. Y esto, la verdad, no se me hace claro.

Awesome hat, light, small brim, fairly cool for the high heat and high humidity for this area.

The hat was too small even though I ordered the correct size. And even though I like small brims, this one was way too small for any cover. It is well made it though. I wish it would have fit better.

I bought my Pentagon Boonie Hat in February and waited till now to write a review because I wanted to "Field Test" it. Well now I've worn this hat and I LOVE it. This hat is well made and the brim seems to be the PERFECT length, (about 1 3/4 inches). the brim is just long enough to block the sun from your eyes but is short enough so it does not block your field of view. If I lost this hat I would definitely buy another. I may buy more in other colors.

Nice hats. I bought the wolf gray in 58-59 last year which fit my head snugly. The small rim gave it a nice style and made it useful for outdoor archery sessions whilst still shading my ears. I reordered the hat size 60-61 last week. Different color and one size up as I was thinking ventilation would work a bit better without the hat being snug. Sadly, now the rim is far larger, much like an UF Pro… still a great hat and a better fit than said UF Pro (XL) which feels like it sits on top of my head and definately needs the strings to stay on. But something to consider if you like a small rim.

Der Pentagon Babylon Boonie Hat macht auf mich einen sehr guten Eindruck. Der Stoff fühlt sich angenehm an und wirkt wertig, die Nähte sind sauber verarbeitet. Insgesamt macht der Hut einen durchdachten und soliden Eindruck. Ich habe eine Hutgröße von 60 und mir die Größe XL (60–61) bestellt – passt tadellos und sitzt sehr bequem. Der Kinnriemen ist klassisch ausgeführt. Ich nutze ihn meist so, dass ich ihn hinten am Kopf stramm ziehe – dadurch sitzt der Boonie auch bei Wind sehr stabil, ohne dass das Band am Kinn stört. Ist natürlich Geschmackssache, funktioniert für mich aber richtig gut. Ich habe das Modell inzwischen in zwei weiteren Farbvarianten und nutze es regelmäßig. Für alle, die einen leichten, bequemen und zuverlässigen Wetterschutz für den Kopf suchen, ist das hier eine klare Empfehlung.
