Good little item
Bought it because pc sound was not great I added this and have much better control in volume. Reasonably priced when I bought it compared to others that were 3x more expensive. For what I needed it does the job

Just right…
I use an Echo Link Amp combined with a speaker splitter function box and a Belkin AIRPLAY2 Receiver to wirelessly stream my APPLEMusic/AmazonMusic library to my ceiling speakers from my iPhone/AppleTV/Laptop or iPad, throughout our home. Always v happy with the system but for one failing… I was never happy with the quality of the inbuilt DAC chip on the Echo Link Amp. Too neutral. Lacking in sub and mid bass. Too lacking in note weight, flaccid trailing tones and sub-par tone and timbre, and shouty highs. Too little impact. Not meaty or juicy enough! My in-built ceiling speakers being of the very best quality, and not wanting to replace the amp, it made sense to try and find a high value to cost DAC to add to my chain. I can’t quite believe just how much of an improvement this cheap tiny box has made to the music casting throughout my house. Now finally have thump in the bass, clean natural and true mids and sparkly non fatiguing highs. Far more musical, with warmth and body. And the tone controls mean I can dial my preferences in even further. V happy with this inexpensive DAC!

Cool lil guy
This little thing is nice, well built, has rubber feet on the bottom and has NE3552 opamps, USB micro is used for power only but don't power it via a USB port, use a good 5v1amp or higher(amps) power supply, the volume, bass and treble controls are nice. Came with USB micro for power, USB type A to B and digital optical which was also nice to include. If you want to power more demanding headphones look at something more beefy 12v+ options

Great little budget DAC
Needed something inexpensive to take the audio from a PC and feed it to a HIFI amp or an independent wireless headphone system, without compromising the sound quality. I didn’t expect this DAC to perform well, but given the price, I thought it worth a try; I’m happy to to say it performs far better than I anticipated. It doesn’t interfere with the (already good) sound quality, but gives me an interface to adjust the sound level etc. As a bonus it can be (and is) powered by the PC usb port so switches on and off with the computer.

If it stops working, keep turning it on and off
It seemingly stopped working a week after using it, when you turn it off via the turning volume all the way left, it doesnt register the clicks properly it seems so keep turning the volume on and off till it turns itself on.. or just return it like I will do if it keeps happening.. Otherwise it is pretty good, not very loud but good volume for PC

Amazing Device, The Device is not faulty if it makes weird clicking noises!
been using this DAC with my akg k361 as they sounded horrible and flat using the standard headphone port on my laptop. Favourite feature of this device is that is USB powered this comes as a positive and negative i have a limited amount of plug outlets and i travel often with my laptop so having this use 2 USB ports is a better option for me although i noticed one issue but i soon realised it was user error and it looks to be the same issue some people are putting for this device in the reviews saying that it doesn't power on or makes a hissing or buzzing sound. The sound problems are to do with the USB power if the device has insufficient to resolve this try powering the DAC with a different USB port and avoid using USB hubsOther issues that could cause sound problems is the USB that provides data could have limited bandwidth and may need a full port to itself i recommend using a USB 3.0 port (Blue) as this would most likely solve the issueIf the device is making a hissing sound another device is causing interference i have a Laptop fan cooler connected to my laptop to keep the device from thermal throttling and if i plugged the DAC into a port on the cooler or near the cooler it would cause interferenceIF all else fails then it could be faulty or the device attempting to power the DAC is not outputting enough power or is disabling the port due to the power on start-up i would advise leaving the DAC ON as it can cause all the usb devices connected to the computer to turn off and turn back on this could cause corruption to USB drives if they were actively transmitting. I wouldnt fault the manufacturer for this as its a USB device and thats the sacrifice for it.

Mine didn't work.
As mine didn't work, with any of my headphones (over the ear/back of the head/in ear buds) I have no way of knowing about the sound quality. All I CAN say is that it is solidly built, metal rather than plastic, rather like a micro guitar effects pedal. A balance control between the L & R channels might be a useful addition. for those of us who have hearing damage to one or both ears.

Excellent at this price point!
More than happy with this item. I like it's small form factor compared to that of other DACs.The bass and treble adjustment features are a nice addition and they really do work. This item is pretty much the same thing as the Fosi Audio Q4 and the Nobsound Q3 but at a much better price, so if you've been looking at them I'd definitely recommend you go for this one.Overall excellent for it's price, absolutely no complaints.Edit - price when purchased was £36.99

Dac rapporto qualità/prezzo davvero conveniente e soddisfacente!

OK DAC
It lacked the AMP power to drive my Hifiman Sundara headphone to a satisfying level for me even at max volume and gain, and even if it did you also probably wish to have some headroom as well. I had no issues with the sound quality during the brief time I used them and the knobs worked fine and there was no audible hissing when no sound was playing. Would have liked to see a "notch" in the tonal control knobs that was set to zero since so you can tell if you were right at the +-0 dB bass and treble setting. For the price it is hard to complain.

DAC surprenant !!!!
