it's subtle but it's like being a kid again
during the yc coronavirus lockdown me, my wife, and our 16yp and 10yo have been laying Uno five nights a week.we had whatever set we bought a few years ago, it's fine but a few cards got bent by the kidsbought this retro set (it was $12 when most sets were less than $6) hoping it'd be awesomeopened up the deck and it was kinda like, "oh yeah, i remember this style from the 80s playing with my parents and sisters" -- but it wasn't $12-worth of "wow" yanno?but then we started playing, and it started to sink in, especially when you'd get those Draw Four cards, there was something about the fonts, and the simpler design, and a wave of nostalgia hits ya, and it's easily worth $12 for that feeling

i love this!!!
first of all, came a day earlier than anticipated (and listed) and well on time. this was packaged with bubble wrap and not dented or damaged, which is great for quality. brand new, unopened.i am beyond happy! having a michael mell moment here. i really love this retro version, which adds on to the usual uno ga meplay that i love! (note though, not identical to the 70s version, but close. 80%, id say). is it possible to be gay for a card deck? i know im crazy, but i really love this. id recommend this!! easy to recognize for someone who usually plays with modern uno decks.

Classic version of a fun game
Favorite version of the game. Love the retro style and color shades. For anyone who enjoys the game and is looking for a new deck, this one does the trick without some of the newer cards. This has the classic cards. The game pretty much always comes out with friends over, great replay value, fun from 2-8 players. Also very easy to come up with drinking rules to make this an interesting party game.. taking a drink every time someone gets skipped or has to draw a card from the pile, you get the idea.

Love these classic cards
I had brought some UNO cards a couple of months ago and was disappointed that the cards were totally different than what I grew up with. So I search high and low and was so happy to find them on Amazon. These cards actually have the words written on them (Skip, Reverse, Draw Two). Me and my eight year old play all the time.

Try it, the grandkids might like it!
I bought these to introduce my 3+ grandson to quiet card games. Oh, Lordy. The kid has turned into a card shark. The only way we can persuade him to not cheat (stack the deck) is to tell him no one wants to play with cheaters. Even while toeing the line, he often wins against adults. Very gratifying, for him.My 4+ grand-daughter, on the other hand, has no interest at all.

Great version of the game - minus a star for quality
I love the design of these cards. In a fast paced game, the words are so much better than the symbols that take a second to decipher - plus I like that it makes my kids read the words rather than learn a meaningless symbol. I also agree with other reviews that the colors and numbers are easier to read. There is a line under the 6 only which helps my little ones determine 6 or 9 rather than the new decks that underline the 6 and 9 which is still a little hard for the little ones to quickly match to their hands. The size of the cards are similar to a deck of cards but unlike a deck of cards I don't plan on changing them out after a summer of play. I wish they had made the weight and durability of these cards just a little better. After the first three games a few of the cards already showed signs of wear (color rubbing off the edges). We play a lot of card games in the summer and on vacation - these won't last nearly as long as the ones we used when I was a kid - but then not much does anymore. On a side note: The game says for 7 and up but I play with my 3 and 6 yo. It is a slower game with a lot of "helping" but it is still fun and it helps my kids learn numbers, colors, and same vs different.

OLD SCHOOL- UNO CARDS
My family had a gathering and the “new” version of the UNO card m game was used. I refused to play the new version. I will have my own deck of the “old school UNO CARDS”! Have a great day!

If you like the original card style
We purchased this retro set so we can enjoy the original type cards versus all the new symbols and pictures on the newer ones. Also do not like the write-on cards. It was perfect for us.
