induction cooker with Sous Vide
Love this item. Easy to use. Much better than the wand style of sous vide, you don't have to find a container and lid that will fit around the wand. This machine is quiet and works very well.

Easy Sous Vide
The Oliso Smart Hub is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I've used it both for Sous Vide and as a tool to sear the meat and cook on. It is portable enough to take to dinner parties where we gather and cook together. The water gets to target temperature much faster than other Sous Vide appliances. Additionally, you don't loose the heat to the environment like other appliances because of it's doubled wall and sealed top. When I first started to Sous Vide, the above improvements were my immediate gripes, and this machine solves them both. The price is a bit high for a machine that can't really handle large quantities of food like brisket. You would have to purchase multiple devices and handle them in batches. Neither of these option are really practical, so this should be a strong consideration before purchasing. But for me, this machine has become a permanent fixture in the kitchen. It is a very simple to use standalone appliance with no smartphone integration. When the water reaches target temperature, you place the meat in and set the timer for cook time. I do wish the timer would continue to keep until I address it. I have to set a separate timer so I don't overshoot time if I happen to leave the room when target time is reached. If you don't mind these small gripes, you will find this machine to be very useful.

I too REALLY wanted to love this machine
I too REALLY wanted to love this machine. I have used immersion and I have the Supreme Demi. Once out of the box I was VERY excited about this purchase. I bought hundreds of dollars worth of meats. I vacuumed sealed them with the plan to sous vide them and freeze for future meals. First go around I put $80.00 worth of Rib Eye steaks in. I set it for four hours. Sometime during that time it had shut off. I read the instructions as it gave error 01. Unplug, DO NOT EAT anything you do not know how long it had been cooking for, so I threw it all out. After unplugging I let it cool down for a few hours as the instructions stated and started it again. This time I had pork chops in for overnight bath. I watched it for four hours, went to bed and got up and sure enough now it was error 02. Do the same thing as error 01 but call customer service. What a JOKE! I was told this had never happened before. They could replace the base. O.K. what about the $150.00 worth of meat I had to throw away? What about all of the meat still packaged ready to sous vide and freeze? We can send you a new base. Good. Can you over night it so I can cook the rest of the meat? Oh no...we are sending it all the way from California. SERIOUSLY? What about the loss I just incurred? I can go on amazon and buy another and get it in two days or pay a bit and get it in ONE day. Do I even want another of your over priced ovens to lose more money? First of all let me mention that I have an e-commerce store where I sell and electronic machine. IF ANY one of my customers got a machine that did not work upon arrival ( only once in nine years) I would over night a new one to them with a Fed Ex label to attach to the bad one and have Fed Ex pick it up so my customer is not out any time or money! All I am asking is to get it right away as I had a HUGE family function I was doing all of the meat for and now had to change plans and come up with idea to feed 30 people in a few days. Oliso....you let me down! I am still trying to decide but I am sure I am going to just send it back to Amazon for a full refund. Thank God someone makes sure we are taken care of! I do not have anything good to say about Oliso or their customer service. I am on a LOT of sous vide groups. I will telling all about my experience.

Ok product. Sous Vide is unreliable for shorter cook time
Works very well. Induction top not compatable with pans as large as it says it is. If you use the maximum size pan, it will only heat a small center piece of the pant. Whenever I'm using the sous vide, the first ... 45 minutes or so is the wrong temperature. If I put a steak in at 131, it will go to 133 for a good 30-40 minutes. This is probably fine for tough cuts of meat where it's in there for days. However, if I'm cooking a rib-eye for an hour or two, this is not a device for you as your steak will be cooked differently than you wanted.EDIT: changing stars down as it stays +1-2 degrees longer and longer bow

Essential for the Serious Sous Vide Cook
If you do lots of sous vide cooking, this is an excellent alternative to the immersion sticks out there. You have to allocate some counter space to it, but then you're ready to sous vide whenever with no setup or fuss. The water bath heats accurately and evenly, and the two included racks make it easy to keep items submerged, and to drain and remove them when they're done. The smart hub is also an induction cooktop - I haven't used this much but I can confirm that it works. Oh, and the customer service is incredible - after 6-7 months of steady use my smart hub base was acting up. After a simple phone call with a very helpful customer service rep, Oliso agreed to drop-ship me a new base before I even sent back my existing one! If you buy this, you can rest assured that Oliso will stand by their product.
