These have been an absolute life saver for my dog, who had surgery on his paw. The socks keep his bandage from the vet clean and in place, and allowed us to still take walks as he was recovering. They stay on his foot nicely with the elastic strap. I’ll definitely keep a few pair around the house!

I live in Arizona, where summer temperatures easily reach 115–120°F, which means the pavement gets even hotter. There’s really no avoiding it when you have a dog—it’s full sun for most of the day here. I’ve been using these socks for 3 years now, and I cannot recommend them enough. These are not like the hard dog shoes that make dogs walk awkwardly. These are soft socks with a durable, grippy bottom that protects their paws while still allowing natural movement. I’ve found that going a little larger in size works best since they are adjustable with a Velcro strap. They’re easier to put on when slightly bigger. That said, I did measure my dog’s paws according to the size chart, and it was accurate. My dog is about 55 pounds, and I buy the large size for him. My dog doesn’t fight these at all now. At first, he would take them off, but I gradually got him used to them. I started by getting him comfortable with me touching and handling his paws. Then I introduced the socks and rewarded him with treats. He would still take them off, but I let him, and we repeated the process. Over time, he became completely comfortable with them. The real turning point came during his first Arizona summer. I took him outside without them, and he immediately stepped on the hot pavement and started lifting his paws. I put the socks back on, and from that point on, he never resisted them again. Now, we only use them when it’s over 100°F. He even lays on his back and lifts his paws to help me put them on. They wash well and don’t shrink much in my experience. I’d say one pair lasts about a month with regular use, and we go outside several times a day. They’re good quality, but since they’re made of fabric and used on rough pavement, they will wear down over time. That said, they’re reasonably priced, and the protection they provide is absolutely worth it. I can’t speak to how they perform in snow since we don’t get that here. I would guess they’re not ideal for wet or snowy conditions since they’re not waterproof. However, that’s actually a benefit in Arizona—I can lightly wet them, and it helps keep my dog’s paws cooler in extreme heat. It does take some time, patience, and consistency to get your dog used to wearing them, but it’s absolutely worth it if you live in a hot climate and want to protect their paws. Highly recommend.

these work great! my dog had a small mass removed on his toe and a cone wasn’t workin for him so this is a great option for when i cannot directly supervise him. i am unsure the amount of traction they provide as he only wears one but i love how tall they are and the removable velcro is amazing! they are very soft and non irritating to his skin as well. he isn’t bothered when wearing it so it’s seemingly comfortable for him.

I have a French Bulldog that has just one paw he chews on. Nothing seems to work and I do not want to over medicate him unless absolutely necessary. I bought these and just used one for the paw he chews. The socks are so soft and warm. The Velcro snaps on and is easy to use and it stayed on his paw all night. He did not do the funny jig that a lot of dogs do when having something placed on their foot for the first time. These would be great during cold weather for ice and snow protection because of the traction on the bottom of the socks. The adjustment on the socks could cut off circulation so be careful and do not cinch them too tight.

Worked pretty well keeping my dog from chewing her paws, but she was quick to take them off. The velcro strips that come with it make it great for adjustability for each animal, but they do come off pretty easy. I tried to keep her in these for a couple days, but they quickly were getting taken off by her. They do have good stretch, but seemed to wiggle a lot making the traction side flip to the top of her paw. All in all, I won’t be repurchasing or using these really since she gets them off so easy.

Beautiful, fit nicely, it does the job that I needed for my dog’s paws; however, she finds whatever trick she can to chew them off and go without. So it’s a battle ( for me). It’s a pull-me- put on” situation . But I will keep them ; find a solution.

My beagle was chewing on his paws so I got these to put on him and he wore a soft cone. These are very good. He wore them out walking too and they were easy to wash. Stayed on well with the velcro which is buttoned on (and can come off). Seemed to be breathable.

These are great for old dogs who struggle on slick floors. They have lots of fun colors and patterns. I recommend the ones with the most 'sticky-bits' as the socks don't always stay put with the sticky-bits on the top or bottom of the dogs paws. The more sticky-bits the better for old or arthritic dogs. The Halloween lanterns glow in the dark but don't cover enough of the paw to really protect from slipping when the sock moves around. The straps are very helpful but can rub raw spots so you have to be careful. Would be best if they made some with sticky-bits that went around the entire sock so as the sock moves on the dogs paw there are always sticky-bits in contact with the floor.

My 16 year old dog has arthritis, two older knee surgeries, and general weakness in her back legs and lower spine. I have hardwood floors and some rugs, but she has lost her confidence on the wood floors and has taken to lying on the rugs and whining whenever I leave the room. I started thinking about those rubber boots for dogs, came to Amazon looking for dog slippers, and found these. They arrived quickly, fit perfectly (I based the size on her paw measurements and the size chart), and she got used to them within just a minute or two. Now she feels better on the wood floors, and even seems to be a little stronger. Definitely more confident and no slipping at all. She even holds her body more naturally with the socks on. A mi perro de 14 años le han funcionado muy bien. Claro que se los pongo por un par de horas solamente. Me gusto que tengan antideslizante por ambos lados. No se los coloco muy apretados para que no le lastime la cinta de Velcro. Son fáciles de lavar.

Good size, well made, anti slip rubber on both sides of socks. Velcro strap attached with snap button. I ordered similar item from a different seller, and this item wins over that one easily.

Great non slip socks for my little guy. The were a little to big so I made them to fit. Excellent non slip on both sides. Great service and delivery time.
