tl;dr - Bought this with a 7 gallon bucket and eco Gel and compostable bags, everything worked great. Was sturdy enough to allow my pregnant wife to easily get up and pee without leaving the tent.————-I got this for a camping trip with my pregnant wife. She pees 4-5 times a night right now, so camping was nearly out of the question. She loves camping so I knew this was serious.It worked great. Easily snaps on/off of a standard 5-7 gallon bucket. Seals well enough, though we used a natural gel additive to the potty bags to help with smells.

This toilet seat indeed fits onto a standard 5 gal bucket and should work great for camping. I am almost 70 years old and I was able to get it snapped on over the bucket with my arthritic fingers after a few tries and able to get it off again. It appears well made and durable, but I just got it so haven't "put it to the test" yet! I recommend it if you want a cheaper alternative to the other camping toilet sets.

The seat was on the expensive side. I needed it by a certain date for my boyfriend as he is a truck driver. I could have gotten the seat and bucket for the price of just the seat.

I thought this would not work well for me. I'm a big guy but this thing is solid and surprisingly comfortable. Since I am tall, I device to use several buckets to bring the height of the seat up to a more ADA spec toilet. Works well and I do not regret purchasing this over the more complicated flushing camp toilets or the full non-flush units. This is versatile, easy to set up, easy to breakdown, and store.

Lid locks, making transport much easier when used. The lid fit a bit to tight until it had been taken on and off a few times. This (with trash bags and kitty litter) paired with a standing pop up tent is now a necessary addition to our camping kit.

Plastic is pretty flimsy but we’ll give it a try. Won’t be using until deer season in November.

I bought this because my son races rc cars, which is male dominated. There is usually port a potties or no restroom at all. I bought a pop-up shower tent and created my own personal restroom. This seat works perfectly with a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket, its a little snug with a Lowe's 5 gallon bucket. We also use this in our rv, so we don't have deal with dumping the black tank. Don't forget to get the camping toilet liners & gel packets. This was a great purchase I actually bought a second one.

I needed a backup toilet for my head. This lid fits both THD and Harbor Freight five gallon buckets very securely. As long as the bucket's not too full, there is minimal leaks/clean-up after inevitable knock overs healing.The lid is heavy duty, and I'm confident this will be the only one I'll ever need.
