Misleading But Worth It
Firstly, if you believe you'll be getting 500+ carats of perfect stones for under $30 please deflate your helium balloon and join us back on Earth. These may be real stone, however many are color or heat treated. A majority of mine had misshapen cuts, improper crowns, chips, or inclusions. Many of the TD readings didn't match up with all-natural stones... probably because of the leaded glass used to stabalize the stone's massive flaws - which is done frequently by mainstream jewelers. There were a tiny few that weren't finished or had spherical bubbles from being injected during the color process. I think these stones are used for cutting classes by jewelry students to hone their skills. Despite all of that, there are quite a few perfect stones. If you're a novice jeweler, crafter, or reseller you'll probably make your money back 500 fold. I've been into gems for over 40 years and plan on buying these multiple times in the future. This is a great way to learn about gemstones while possessing a wide array of them.

There wasn't a single gemstone in the lot. all glass and plastic. this is fraud. pretty glass though, if that's what you're after...

Pirate booty! Great for my buried treasure!
These gemstones may not be natural or real but they are pretty and sparkly and they will work for the treasure box I'm making for the kids. Would probably be alright for costume jewelry too. Great bang for the buck. Good variety of colors and shapes and sizes. Fast shipping too! Came in one day.

ALL GLAss
The positives are that there are what seems like a ton of these pieces, big and medium sized pieces, i received the package the next day, and the price was very good. The negatives are that I found d pin holes in some which means some were dyed and I found bubbles in some which means some are glass fakes. I suspect a lot will test as glass whwn I pull out my gem tester but I hope not. I give e it three stars for the positives. The price is right if you want glass made to look like gemstones with some, possibly real ones in the mix. Like I said, I havent tested them all yet.

Waist of money
This is a lot of misfit stones. Misshaped, odd trapezoidal not parallel sides. What looks like chips out of corners are odd facets. The whole five hundred carets are going into the river sand for my grand kids to play prospector. This lot isn't even good enough for pirate booty. In total half of the order was misshaped. The close up shot is not at an angle, the blue and green stones in the foreground are that weirdly shaped, not at all in way way good, the faceting ends up being completely askew. the other half of the parcel, the smaller stones mostly could be useful for earrings or pendents, still not worth the $27 purchase price. The only redeeming quality was the clarity pf all the stones.

What a SURPRISE
These are Sparkly, real sparkly to quote a Raven friend. So much dazzle for so little money. This parcel brings me back to the days when you got what you paid for. Larger parcels usually have some larger stones. This was no exception. I'm still sorting by gem type. All that red, and not one Garnet or Ruby, but there are some AMAZING spinels and one that I have the RI on but can't find it in my books or online. Brilliant red like a ruby. the RI is below all corundum, but much higher than any glass...Sorry, got caught up in it. This will not disappoint, unless you're looking for purple or green stones. This parcel is going to keep me busy designing for a long time to come. What a variety of deep blue and red stones with a nice dusing of lighter shades of both.

most are not natural or gems. Mostly faceted glass.
Very useful for identifying glass using gemological tools such as spectroscopy, refractive index, and specific gravity. a few natural stones in there such as smoky quartz, but mostly glass. you get what you pay for Red stone=red glass using spectroscopy, see attached image

Glass or stones???
I either got a fantastic deal on super clear stones with uniform color or I received faceted glass. You decide.
