It fits and works like the original Yes you can try replacing the gasket and other rubber parts that wear out over time that cost $10+ when you include the shipping, but for $25 for the whole assembly, with all the rubber parts, it’s really the better way to go. Save yourself the hassle and just buy and replace the whole assembly from the beginning. Loosen the screw allowing you to fit the bracket into the water drain and then tighten up the screw which will tighten up the flush valve. It seemed to be made for a lid where the flush buttons were stacked front to back. I needed side by side. But upon further inspection I realized the top part of the unit can be locked down by rotating it in either direction. One does side by side, the other way does front to back. Works like a charm.
