I originally purchased two of these bulbs in May 2016, one for my bathroom and one for my bedroom. I have left the bathroom light on 24/7 ever since receiving it - so more than two years now - and it is still going strong, with no flickering whatsoever. It's a beautiful shade of amber and not the other colors that some folks have mentioned. I turn my bedroom light on briefly in the evenings, as I'm preparing to go to bed, but rarely for long periods. Sometimes I'll leave it on during the day, just to add ambience to my bedroom. That one is still going strong as well.I recently purchased two more lights for my desk lamps, and those, too, stay on 24 hours a day. In my office, these lights don't look quite as yellow as the bathroom and bedroom lights, but I think that's because my office is naturally bright, so it alters the color a bit. But they're still great for when I'm working in the evening and want to use only those desk lamps for working, in order to reduce or eliminate the blue lights (along with using f.lux on my computer monitor).I came here to order yet another one, and I decided to check out the latest reviews, to see what people were saying. I was highly disappointed to see a large number of people reporting that they're lights are flickering, and some even dying, after just a short time. These lights are supposed to last for many years, so that is not good. I was also disappointed to see that some folks reported difficulty reaching the company to discuss the issues. I have not been able to find any reviews from anyone who has reported success with prompt response and replacement of the bulbs, so I plan to come back later and see if that is the case. I certainly hope people who have had issues and have attempted to contact the seller will take the time to come back and post a follow-up regarding that experience.If not, I may decide to purchase similar bulbs elsewhere in the future, because even though my experience with the bulbs has been excellent so far, given the huge mix of reviews, it appears to be more of a luck-of-the-draw scenario rather than reliable product quality and solid customer service across the board. So I am one of the lucky ones who - at least so far - is not having any issues, and thus I feel comfortable giving the bulbs a five-star rating, based on my own personal experience. I can't speak to the customer service, of course, because I haven't had to make use of it. But I plan to continue to come back here at least once a year and update my experiences as well as check out what is happening with other folks.I have seen some posters recommend another brand of similar bulbs, but after checking the reviews on that bulb, a similar percentage of people have reported similar issues with that bulb. So I'm guessing that the issues might be part of the nature of this type of bulb technology, and perhaps not unique to this specific bulb.I will continue to buy more of these bulbs (from this seller) for my own use, as needed, because of my success with the bulbs so far. But because of the sizable number of folks having issues (and so far no one reporting successful resolution of the problem), I'm going to refrain from recommending that others buy these bulbs until I see a significant uptick in positive reviews and reduction in negative reviews about those specific issues.I've been buying from Amazon since 2000, and I've left many reviews over the years - some good, some bad. I've left a few well-deserved one-star reviews, many also well-deserved four- and five-star reviews, and even some four- and five-star reviews for products I had to return (great customer service counts a lot!). But this is a first for me, leaving a five-star review for a product that I am now worried about and cannot recommend to others because of the stated concerns. But the bulbs work great for me and I love them, so they get five stars - for now. Never thought I'd see the day, but it is what it is! :)

I was skeptical about this at first, thinking will I be able to read in bed, or search the net on my phone with out eye strain? The answer is yes. I really do love it. It is very soothing.

I love these bulbs. I haver had issues with light sensitivity lately and wanted something for evening when I am going to bed and that I can turn on at night and won’t be too much of a disturbance. It is an amber color, which suits me perfectly. I read in a review that it was more orange and I hesitated for a while before finally purchasing them but was happily surprised. Definitely recommend!

The media could not be loaded. If you use the slo-mo video feature on your phone you can check the quality of LED lights. The highest quality do not flicker, and i was hopeful that these night lite ones would work. But sadly they are not good quality. I will be returning them

I was hoping for a warm amber glow, but it's more like a bright orange floodlight that you might encounter in a construction site at nighttime. This might be good for people who want a very bright light at night but that isn't blue, but I wanted something lower and softer with more reddish tones (like a salt lamp). I use it in a lamp that is a big glass orb with the bulb inside of it, and I tied a clay-red/terra-cotta colored bandana around the orb so that it filters the light to actually be the warm amber glow that I was looking for. I wish I didn't have to do that and for this reason I would not say this product was worth $20, but it might be for someone who wants a pretty bright orange light!

The spectrum is relaxing and conducive to sleep. We have used these in our bathroom at night and they help to prepare the mind for sleeping. They also help promote a more peaceful wake-up while getting ready in the morning. These went out and we replaced with a regular LED lights with a greater blue spectrum that we had on hand. I noticed a general feeling of anxiety with those lights, especially during dusk/dawn. Unfortunately for us, the lights did not last as long as advertised, only about 6 months. We kept them on most of the time so maybe that was a contributor. The relaxation they provided however was worth the cost.

Really worth the money. Gives off the right hue, the right yellow light. It's not a magic pill if you have severe sleep issues, but it's one more tool in the tool box for people with severe insomnia. You really need to get into a good routine of putting it on at minimum at least two hours before attempting to sleep. No TV (unless you have filter glasses, https://www.amazon.com/Cyxus-Blocking-Anti-glare-Anti-eyestrain-Computer/dp/B0199TYGSO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1505677952&sr=8-3&keywords=filter+blue+light+uv+glasses) or computers unless they have blue light filters. This bulb might be a bit costly, but don't be fooled by "yellow party lights." Not the right light. Get a few for spaces you relax in before bed and if you can't do without the TV check out the link above and find some UV/Blue light filter glasses, it makes a huge difference. It takes a little time to get use to the glasses, but they save on eye strain and do help with sleep process. I love this light!
