Lucky for me that this type of mount and battery are still available. The original battery mount on my e-plus commuter bike (Argos) was not strong enough to hold the weight of the battery - it was made of poor quality plastic that split apart beyond repair. The old mount was larger than the new one as it also contained the electronic controller. I haven't used the supplied post mount, I've used the original mounting plate instead (see photo) and mounted the controller box separately. I didn't really need a new battery, but the new one is 10.4 Ah compared to 8.8Ah for the original battery, so I now have 2 batteries and 2 chargers. Very happy to have my e-bike back on the road!
