10/10 for a a great product, early delivery and a 100% satisfied 17 year old.
Wow, these lights are brilliant. My son has placed them on the back of his tv, and it has transformed his room. He loves them. The colours are so intense without being bright (if that makes any sense). He loves the music mode, it is very relaxing. I would absolutely recommend and worth every penny, adds depth and transforms your room.My son has a 60inch tv and the lights overlap, so plenty of length. The sticky back is very sticky, I did not need to use the extra sticky pads. The instructions are simple and clear. You can use 3 methods to operate, the little pad on the actual lights, a small remote, and the app (the app gives so much more colour options).Delivery was a day earlier (bonus).Sorry no pictures, I know this can be helpful in deciding to buy an online item, but it’s not needed I and my son and partner absolutely 100% recommend this item. We don’t have Alexa or Google, and this hasn’t hindered our experience of these lights.

Really great product
These lights are great. Easy to fix in place and really sticky. I fixed them under the rail on my mirror wardrobes they are really good with Alexa to control. I can walk into my room now and say Alexa turn on discoball which is what I've called it. And they work really well. Great colours. After I had them up for around month three if the lights were not in sync as in another colour. I contacted govee via the app and they gave me some trouble shooting to do. Unfortunately it didn't work and I have to say they have been really helpful they sent me out a new set straight away. Great customer service. So the new set are now up. And looking fantastic. I definitely recommend. My kids want them too now. What have I started ???

Good, BUT...
These are the strips I end up buying again and again cos I tend to change my set up every few months. They're reliable, easy to set up, and I've had some success redneck engineering them to fit around corners and over gaps with the proper connectors. As other reviews have said, the white isn't quite white, if you look closely it's kind of split between green and pink lights, so you wont quite get a nice warm white going, but for other colours it's been fairly accurate and reliable. However, it really is worth noting that while the app is great for personalising the light modes, setting up custom ones or choosing from premade ones, its not great at staying connected when the app isnt running. I recently got 2 sets, one for my bookshelf and one around my desk, and was hoping to link them both up to the same timer with the Govee app so I wouldn't have to fiddle around setting up both of them individually. You CAN do this in the app, but it doesn't actually seem to take effect because your phone wont connect to both of them without opening the app and specifically making sure they connect. I tested last night to see would they turn off at 1am and turn on around 5pm. If you set them individually, they will, but as a group, there's no chance. This also causes some problems for connecting to Google Home as well. Often when I go to use google home to turn the lights on or off, they appear offline until I open the Govee app.So overall, the Govee lights are more reliable than a lot of chinese knock offs you'll find on amazon, and a lot cheaper than the likes of Razer/Philips/etc. but be aware that they do have some flaws for the good value.

A solid, great value LED strip that is easy to use
The media could not be loaded. As a seasoned smart home "builder", this is my first Govee product. I'm always nervous about buying smart home products, especially from China and they can be sometimes poorly made. This is NOT the case with Govee. Everything from the packaging to instructions and app feel high quality and trustworthy. Unboxing is a pleasure. You can plug in and it just works with the buttons but pairing it with the remote also gives you options. In terms of colour, it's not perfect like many LED strips, but it won't take you long to find what you're looking for. Music mode is a bit of a gimmick, but could be cool for the kids. Set up is easy, you'll need a Bluetooth phone and WiFi access. Unlike some other Led strips, this one has a paper like consistency so is extremely fragile when setting up. Luckily you're an adult, so plan where you are going to stick the strip and gradually pull the 3m tape cover back and apply. When turning corners loop it round (like in the instructions). It is very sticky and won't come off. For £20-25, or what ever you paid, it's fine.I bought this product because I could not fathom why Philips Hue were charging circa £100 for the same type of product. If this lasts for 2 years I'll be happy. I need to be realistic. I'm also mindful that if Govee switch off their servers it would also stop working, but again it's cheap enough to take the risk.Well done Govee for putting together an excellent product that is easy to use. Fantastic value too.Nerd section: Note this product uses a native app and NOT Tuya. Don't let that put you off! This product is excellent for smart home integration. I have it integrated with HASSIO Home Assistant running an automation script... From a Philips Hue button! The whole process takes about 3-4 seconds but there's a lot going on there so I forgive it. The Home Assistant integration was simple enough to set up, although not available on HACS. You'll need to have Samba set up and manually move custom files to custom_components which is a faff. You'll need to request an API from Govee through the app for the integration to work. I got an email instantly. Works with Alexa etc.
