I use it without the spout attachment, as this is what our cat was already used to - in this mode, it's quiet (a low volume gentle hum) when in operation. I find it easy to fill and clean, and filter changing is simple.I like the modular nature of it - the pump and motion detectors are distinct components, which means they can be easily removed to clean the main unit, so I don't have to worry as much about water getting where it shouldn't during cleaning.I think this is very good value compared to other products on the market with similar functionality (but will update my review if it breaks down prematurely). It even came with its own cleaning kit, which is very useful.I think the setup instructions could have been clearer, though I didn't find it very difficult to figure out. One aspect that wasn't clear to me from the description was that the motion detector is separate from the main unit (see photo, where motion detector is mounted on the wall - you attach the mains cord to the motion detector, and connect the motion detector to the pump via a USB connector) - as I previously mentioned, I think this is an advantage for cleaning purposes, but it confused me initially. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ excellent *by Z***U on 21 April 2025* our cat love it , very useful and easy to clean ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, shame the cat doesn't use it! *by F***D on 15 February 2021* Well I love it....shame the cat isn't interested! May be because it is clear and she can't see it/recognise it as water for her to drink?! The fountain is quite loud with the full height of the tap/tube, but you can remove the outlet part and the tube itself is in 2 sections so you can shorten it to make it quieter. The pump is a bit tricky to fit to the tube but once you've figured it out its fine. Assembles easily enough. Am going to try and wrap something around it to make it easier for her to see and hopefully that helps. The product itself is great though.
