Transformed firm bed surface. No more pain.
This created a new bed. I had purchased a firm Serta bed. It never really broke in. Side sleeping was uncomfortable as well as sleeping on my back. Some nights I could swear I was sleeping on a hard lumpy mattress, tossing and turning a lot. If I had minor back pain from the day, my bed would make it worse. Now with this mattress topper, it changed everything. It doesn't sleep hot. Feels like any other bed I have had temperature wise. BTW - I weigh 200lbs.My mattress now has a springy, cushy feel to it and the pressure points from my hips and shoulders are no longer causing discomfort. I'm not waking up a lot. I feel this supports my body curves with a subtle hug. I was skeptical at first and it was worth the price because I didn't want to buy a new mattress. Saved me $$$$$.It smells of fresh cut grass with a hint of vanilla - vegetal - natural. Does not smell like chemicals. I draped it over a chair and let it air out. I could smell it in the bedroom, but it was not annoying at all. Kind of like having a new carpet or new car smell that over time dissipates. After several days, I sometimes catch a slight whiff of it when laying on it and then easily ignore it. So it's fading more and more. I know some people are very sensitive to smell. I absolutely hate fragrances. They cause my sinuses to burn or I get fragrance fatigue. This topper does not do that to me.I didn't get it with cover. I put it directly on the mattress and then covered it with a fitted mattress cover. Over that the sheet. So there are two layers between me and the mattress and I think this has kept any scent to a whisper. With this 2" thick topper, my old fitted sheets remain functional and I use sheet garters because the sheets are stretched to the max. The mattress is on the firmish side, but it really does give and it's just soft enough and it feels of quality. I think that had I gotten the softer one that I would be bottoming out to my firm bed surface. Rather than try the 3" which I thought would make the bed too tall and make my old bedding useless, I decided on the 2" for a trial run. Glad I did that. It's not gloriously transformative into an imported Swedish bed, however, it made a HUGE difference. If it didn't, I had 30 days to return it. It's a keeper for sure.I sleep like a baby now and don't wake up feeling stiff in my lower back. I feel like my body is healing.

Life changing! No more pain!!
I will tell you, I never, EVER write reviews. I read plenty of them, but never review. This latex mattress topper has been an absolute game changer for me. I struggle with back pain and have never been able to find a mattress or mattress topper that suits me. I have tried probably 15 of the foam and down mattress toppers in the last year. I have also tried approximately 20 different mattresses over the last several years. Thank goodness for return policies! I was skeptical about spending more money on a latex mattress topper, but I have, for many years, slept on a latex pillow. It is the only pillow that works for me. So, I figured I might as well give it a shot and try the mattress topper. From the first night, immediate pressure relief on my back and hips. For the first time in years, I was able to sleep on my side. I am normally a back sleeper, but likely due to my back pain, I was unable to sleep on my side. Now, every position is comfortable. I decided on the 2 inch queen topper, which has been absolutely perfect for me. The latex holds up and is very supportive. It is not squishy or soft like other foam mattresses that are exorbitantly hot. From someone in perimenopause, I can tell you that is super important to me. It keeps you cool through the night. I opted for the Jersey cover on mine, and I’m very glad I did. It does not shift around despite not having straps. The other mattress toppers I’ve tried all had straps and did not seem to make a difference one way or the other. I could not be happier with this purchase. I wish I had bought this many years ago to alleviate my back pain. All I can say is, go buy it and don’t think twice about it. Your body and back deserves to be cradle the way that this mattress topper does!

I sleep very comfortably on the floor with this- perfect comfy minimalist sleep solution
I wanted to dump my bed and get more space to use during the day for yoga, lifting weights, and just a less claustrophobic existence.Looked at Japanese Shikibutons, but I can't and don't want to provide the special care required to keep them from getting moldy (ie sunning them out once a month). It's a huge chore, and they can also get dirty and damaged in this process. They are also very expensive.I chose natural latex because of its long life, its natural resistance to mold, insects and general deterioration (its essentially a form of rubber- rubber doesn't go bad easily).I'm 6' tall and 175lbs, and all the mattress pads I chose to buy with Pure Green's Cover. I also used a Twin XL fitted sheet in all my tests. At first I tried the 2" Firm directly on my carpeted floor. It was NOT comfortable. I did feel the floor through the pad, and it did not feel good on my shoulders and hips in side sleeping positions. I felt it was bottoming out, and I was concerned that if I could feel that now, it might not go the distance as far as longevity. I tried this for about 5 nights in a row, hoping to adjust and I did not.I then ordered the 3" medium firm, and it was the perfect Goldilock's choice. It is just soft enough and thick enough that side sleeping is a joy and bottoming out is no longer a concern. I slept VERY well the first night, and I have absolutely no complaints. This is a perfect shikibuton replacement. Some thoughts:I love I can fold this/roll this up into roughly thirds and stand it up in the corner of my room. The 2" was about 20lbs and the 3" is about 30lbs in the Twin XL size, so the better solution is heavier. I can still fairly easily manage wrangling it up and putting it away in the morning in less that a minute. I would never choose a mattress pad on weight if it kept me up at night, which the 2" pad did.I feel like I've achieved my objective of a minimalist sleeping solution that doesn't have a lot of care and upkeep. My last mattress was a full sized natural latex mattress with multiple layers. It was like 12" thick, and super super heavy. It lasted me 20 years until it started to give up last year, so I have had a good experience with natural latex as a bedding material.I think what I am amazed by the most is that I am very comfortably sleeping on 3", not 12". I feel like I have found that point of just enough and not more to get a great night's sleep. I am very very happy.I wish I had discovered this earlier, I've spent my whole life with oversized mattresses consuming my floor plan, and I want my space back. The great thing about Twin XL as a size is that if you have a partner (or get one in the future), all you need to do is get a second pad and together they create the footprint of a King sized mattress. This is done often with Japanese Shikibutons, but a perfectly doable thing with these latex mattress pads.I'm in California and in fairly dry weather. I don't have dampness or mold as an issue. If those do somehow begin to act on my mattress pad, my intention is to just simply replace the cotton cover for $50. I'm not worried at all about the latex core, mold will never damage it.If YOU live is a place that is damp and moldy, and plan to place this directly on a surface that could get moisture accumulating, you might want to look at a Twin XL sized tatami mat- or just resort to taking off the cover and washing it a little more often- or taking the and cover off and sunning it out once a month. Still way easier than taking out a full shikibuton. If you're a minimalist looking for a comfortable back and side sleeping solution that you don't have to bend over backwards to maintain that will most likely last for a least 10 years (maybe more), get the 3" Medium Firm Mattress pad. You'll be very happy, too.

Great for back but get the cover
I’ve slept on a firm Tempurpedic for the past 10 years but it got way too soft and I began to have back/hip/neck pain. Thought I would try the medium latex topper as I read that it was similar to firm memory foam. It definitely helped immediately. However, it wasn’t enough because my mattress was sinking at my hips too much even with the topper. I ordered a new bed (lux firm, foam for a great price here-SunRising) and it was very affordable for made in USA/only needed an 8 inch since the topper is 3 inches. This combination is perfect. I slept one night and it’s the best sleep I’ve had in years. Virtually eliminated my back pain. My butt sinks in just enough but my lumbar is supported with no sinking at all. I had no idea how much better I would feel. The topper will prolong the life of the mattress as well.I highly suggest getting the cover. I’m not sure why they sell it without except for price/profit hence the 4 star and not 5. Because it is so heavy, it is difficult to move because it doesn’t slide without the cover and kind of sticks. You do get better at it with practice. I highly recommend the cover or adding one after (they sell them here) but it may be difficult to get on especially without 2 people. Buying it covered is the best option which I regret not going with.I placed the topper directly on top of my new mattress and then put a cotton fitted sheet over just the topper to avoid friction from the waterproof cover that may damage the topper (I’ve seen other reviews with photos of crumbling), then the waterproof cover, a cotton quilted mattress cover, fitted sheet-so comfortable and sleeps cooler than just the Tempurpedic alone. The latex surface feels soft if you push your hand into it but when laying down the body weight is distributed, you’ll feel the surface tension that makes you feel like you’re floating but your spine will stay aligned. Beautiful. Reminds me of how my firm Tempurpedic felt when I first got it but at a fraction of the cost. Medium topper is good even though I prefer firm beds but again, even the 3 inch won’t sold the problem if your bed sinks or sags. It will help you sleep cooler and even out bumps or solve firmness issues (especially if you need one side soft and one side firm-2x twins=split king).

Great mattress topper!!!
Love this topper! We recently purchased a new high end Consumer Reports recommended Avocado mattress. My husband & I were waking up with sore stiff backs, & so we were told to try a good latex mattress topper. Immediately after using this new topper, I no longer have a sore back in the morning & I love the feel & comfort this topper provides for restful sleep. Really great!! I highly recommend this topper. It comes wrapped tightly in heavy plastic & the topper is very heavy (ours is king size). It’s a bit of a challenge to unwrap this packaging & lift it onto the bed. There was no residual odor whatsoever. I’m a small woman, but with effort I managed it.I also purchased the Whisper organics mattress pad to put on top of this topper & I really like this product as well.

After Tons of Research: THIS IS THE LATEX TOPPER TO GET!!!!
We have a King bed but ordered 2 Twin XL, which equal a King. To buy 2 Twin XL's instead of a single King size cost a bit more but here is why I decided to do it this way. I wasn't sure if I needed a soft or medium to help with my shoulder and quality of sleep and I didn't want to buy the wrong one and then have to return it to try another. My wife sleeps well and wouldn't care which she got (soft or medium) so my thought was to get the Twin XL's in the different firmness range, sleep on each one a few nights to see which one worked the best for me. Well it worked like a charm! I ended up preferring the Medium and wife loves the Soft. There is a slight, slight odor to the toppers when you first remove them from the plastic but nothing like I've smelled with other foam type mattresses and pillows. My mother in law has a topper from another manufacturer that uses fillers and it has a much stronger smell. She also paid more for it. I'm a 90% side sleeper, 6% stomach, 3% back and 1% how did I end up in this strange position sleeper. This topper has improved my quality of sleep and helped my shoulder, which I had surgery on, and I'm more than happy with this purchase. Am I glad that I got the 2 Twin XL's in different firmness' than take a chance on a King and guess which firmness would be best? YOU BETCHA! It was worth it the for peace of mind.I've included some pictures so you can see what to expect as far as the size of the boxes as well as the toppers on the bed before placing the fitted sheet over them.Thank you SleepOnLatex for a fantastic product!UPDATE: May 8th 2016 - We are loving our latex toppers and decided to better protect them from possible tearing with a topper cover. The same seller of these toppers, Sleep On Latex, also sell a cover but not on Amazon. I found them on SOL's (hehe) website. Not sure why they don't sell them on Amazon but maybe that'll will change in the future. Now I did find a very popular cover here on Amazon from another company and it is a 40% cotton / 60% polyester blend. The cover we got from Sleep On Latex is 80% cotton / 20% polyester and it is very nice. Fits our toppers PERFECTLY! I've added a couple more photos to include the new covers.UPDATE: December 24th 2016 - We are still enjoying these toppers. No problem whatsoever and no sagging or lasting body impressions. The covers have help up and still look new. Zero regrets, zero problems, a whole lot of restful nights.

Unfortunate Latex Allergy
So, I wasn't sure If I was allergic to all natural latex. Of course, everything I'd ever had a mild reaction to (new paint, carpet) was loaded with chemicals, so there was really no way to know.First the pros, this topper was like sleeping on a cloud. I am both a back and side sleeper. I weigh 150 lb and I put this right on my platform bed with nothing underneath, and I didn't bottom out. So those of you who want really firm support or a portable bed to put on the floor this is wonderful! When I opened the box the smell was very mild. If marshmallows had a smell, I think this is what they would smell like. The mild scent was not bothersome. It came already in it's mattress protector, so all I have to do is lay it out in the garage on a clean spot to air out for a couple of days.I did immediately notice prickly sensation on my skins and face. But no problem, it was going to be under a mattress protector and a fitted sheet. I had contacted the sleep-on latex store previously to look at purchasing directly from them, but having some Amazon rewards I continued and purchased through Amazon. I was assured regardless of whether I purchased on Amazon or from the store directly, I would receive a 30-day trial, no hassle returns. Both my phone calls to sleep on latex were fabulous, I spoke to a person right away and they were able to answer my questions. They assured me no flame retardants were used on the mattress or the encasement. My first night goes well, but I wake up the next morning with inflamed sinuses, pretty sure it's from the mattress protector. I stick it out a second day and still have inflamed sinuses. Just in case I'm having a cold or allergies, I returned the protector to the garage to air out for another few days. My inflamed sinuses improve immediately. So a few days later, there is still a distinct scent, so I wrap the entire protector in a sheet of plastic. Cover it with a cotton blanket, mattress protector and fitted sheet. I figure this way any particles of latex going through the knitted loose weave coveright be contained. If I could have I would have sealed the plastic, but I settled for wrapping it entirely and taping the plastic on the back.3rd night, still feels amazing. Of course crinkles a bit because of the plastic I added, and I wake up again with inflamed sinuses. Insistent I can tough it out, I go in to take a nap the next day and I'm unable to fall asleep because I can still smell it! For me it's like a bunch of tiny sharp crystals are inside my sinuses poking me relentlessly. My only explanation is that I'm allergic to the smell too. :-(So sadly, I package it up and start my Amazon return to the UPS store. It of course didn't fit inside the box, but I had kept the plastic sticky wrap it came in. I was able to use this to secure it in a roll and then wrapped a second sheet of plastic over it again and secured the ends with zip ties. I then asked the UPS store to add any packaging needed for return (and our store said the double wrap of thick plastic was secure enough to ship for their requirements).Ok the up side, if you have to return to sleep on latex directly, they will send you a larger box!I've left the review at 5 stars, since there was no way for me or them to know of my allergy. I loved the product. And I really appreciated the companies customer service! The search continues now for latex free, no chemical mattresses for the family.

Not great if you have lower back pain.
I feel like the mattress topper I received had been used and returned. One side had debris stuck in it. Otherwise the topper seems fine. It’s just not good for me. It’s like sludge when you’re trying to adjust your position at night. I’m a side and stomach sleeper and it’s very difficult to move around on this mattress topper. I have a previous back injury and it really stresses my back when I tried to shift positions.

Rico, cómodo, olor no es un problema
Yo tenía miedo de pedir el producto por los comentarios de olor. Pedí el de una pulgada y es más que suficiente para darle vida a un colchón viejo.

THRILLED
I bought this as a last ditch effort to see if my regular mattress was causing all the pain & stiffness I had been experiencing. For a long while I had been sleeping poorly, waking up several times etc. I had a natural mattress made of wool & cotton, but I began to think it was too firm, so I ordered this topper. It’s only been 3 days & it is transformative.I have slept better in the last 3 days than in YEARS! It is so cozy, I’m not overheating, & my pain & stiffness is 95% less. The first two mornings with it, I was getting periodic tingles just from the relief I was experiencing from this on my joints. I honestly can’t believe the difference. I was almost too cheap to buy it but it’s best money I’ve spent in a long time.

1 star for shipping if to Europe, 4 stars for product
Beware if you are in Europe. I did not realize that this was being shipped from USA and it took over a month to get to me due to customs. I would have hoped that the company would have compensated me in some way since I was not notified of this potential delay and I had to write to them a few times to find out what was happening. Re comfort, it's not fantastic but has certainly improved the quality of my mattress. I am no longer getting backaches during the night. So it was worth the purchase. I am very sensitive to odours and barely smelled any. Gave it a couple of days to air out anyway and it was fine. Happy to have a found a chemical free topper.

A really good natural topper
Although my grand new twin sized 11" Kingkoil bed which with a 2" pillow pad on top. still feeling too hard for my back, compared with my another existing 15 years old king sized 15" Kingkoil bed which with a 4" memory foam pillow pad on top. Searching for a topper for making my bed more softer, tried some so-called latex toppers (non-natural) including from Ikea at their showroom. Finally found this certified 100% natural latex topper. Of course natural latex is much much more healthy and better than those petroleum by-product latex. Ordered a 3" medium firmness to my Singapore home. Very good quality and the softness is adequate. My weight is 120 lbs. It enhance my bed to a more high level mattress. Some reviews say the odour is strong, but my topper is with very mild natural latex smell, just like the old days' dunlopillow natural latex pillow. However, I still hanged it for fan ventilation for 2 days. I am going to buy a second one for my mom in Hong Kong. After the happiness with this topper, I have recommended it to several friends. In future, I won't spend extra money for getting a so-called luxury mattress just like my old Kingkoil. Instead, buy a standard one and add this natural latex on top. Better than those so-called 3 to 4" pillow top mattress, which stuffed with chemical latex or foam.I highly advice not to buy those petroleum by-product topper. One of the reason is those toppers are not relatively cheap compared to this certified 100% natural latex one. You only have to pay a little bit extra. Also, this kind of topper can be last for years, and you sleep on it every night, so it is worthy.A small disappointment is that the organic cotton topper cover can not be shipped to either Singapore or Hong Kong. Although the manufacturer says the cover is not necessary as people mostly do not order with, however, the latex seems fatigue when lifting it up with hands which it might be torn apart as the topper is weighted 24lbs (for twin size). Then I use a old duvet to enclose it.
