Connections (banana) FEEL kinda cheapy on the plastic but when you connect them theres no question it's a solid, high quality firm connection. This seems to be a standard length most other sets I own are too. **Q: Can the meter-side banana plugs be exposed by removing the outer insulator?** A: The meter side banana plugs on my cables aren’t removable. If you cut the outer insulation then the banana plug would be exposed. There are cables with retractable shrouds that I recommend considering if your application requires exposing the plug otherwise why not just buy cables without the shroud on the meter side. If you want to make sure the plug cannot be exposed then this is a good option. I should also mention that the plug is exposed through the hole.
