The original cap had been broken for a couple of years and was basically just stuffed into the slot. This new cap means it's a lot easier to change the filter - fits the filter properly and seems sturdy.

Fits just like the original but it is shiny. Original had more of a matte finish. I don't think anyone will notice.

won't stay on the filter when using it to remove the filter from the holder. might be the filter, but might be this.

Like the original. Fits perfect. Still made of the thin plastic and susceptible to breaking but that's the original design.

The water filter cap for my Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator broke about a year ago, making it difficult to remove and install new filters. The new one performs as it's supposed and as I expected.
