This is a very fine journey for recording stargazing.

Looked through a bunch of similar products, none of which seem to be designed or used by actual humans observing with a telescope.... this one included. At least they had pictures of the inside pages on this listing.Good: has 5 spots for a sketch and notes on each page, so you aren't filling out details every time hopping around to many objects in a night.Bad: It's pretty thick, 300 pages / 150 sheets, so it's a bit hefty to lug out to a dark sky site, like a moderate size textbook. Of all the spots at the top for standard notes like date, equipment, seeing, etc.... none for location. Hence the feeling nobody has really used it themselves.

I think any astronomer is going to want to take notes or make sketches in a way that works for their methods, interest, and equipment. This bound notebook provides lined areas for notes and circles for sketching that are appropriately sized for the task. Blank space is provided around the lined areas and circles that is handy for making additional notations or sketches. I like the texture and weight of the paper. Sketching into the book from the eyepiece might be easier if this notebook were in a spiral binding so that it could lay flat while open to one page. I have been using this for a year now and have filled it to page 76. It has become one of my most valued possessions.

Save your money and print out sheets from the internet or make your own. Glad my sketches will only be child like in quality ; )

Bought this for my boyfriend's birthday, and he loves it. It is bigger than expected and really sturdy and got a brilliant finish as the paper quality is very good. Worth the buy!
