X-ActoDesigner Series Craft Swivel Knife, 1 x 2.7 x 8.3 inches, Pink

Although "swivel" is in the name of this product, it seems I focused more on the soft grip appearance when I ordered this tool. Because.... cutting tools like this one have to feel secure in the hand to give you confidence when you use them. (These are sharp implements, so you want a good grip on them!) And the soft grip of this knife is FANTASTIC in the hand. I really like it. The scale is good, and the grippy quality is exceptional. The swivel..... well, that takes some acclimating. I'm an experienced cutter yet this swivel has not been easy to adapt to; it occasionally swivels unexpectedly. On the other hand, though, the blade is TINY, and SHARP, a combination the allows me to access minute areas and cut exceptionally accurately. Overall, this is a tool that will become an excellent go-to for tiny, precision work, once I conquer the unexpected swivels. The precision is unparalleled. For that reason, I recommend it.

I don't know how I put off ordering this knife for so long! I am an avid planner (Happy planner!) and I print and cut my own stickers onto full sheet sticker paper. As you can imagine, this takes a loooong time and can get difficult with scissors, especially with tiny stickers or complicated edges. This tool is so darn useful for that, I used it perfectly right away, though I was pushing a bit too hard and cut all the way through the paper and backing. You only need a light touch! Now I can kiss cut my stickers! And I loooove that it swivels to follow curves and intricate designs. Thanks!!!

I didn't realize the blade swivels as you cut. My own fault, must have miss that in the specs. bought it just to cut he tape of boxes coming in, the swivel makes it difficult, but I'm sure its great for cutting shapes and what not

Really great for what I do, which it cut freezer paper for a stencil. But I tried it on thicker plastic ( notebook) and the blade came apart. I would think it your going to cut thicker stuff like plastic I'd buy a regular knife. I would buy this again the swivel is great and feels good in my hands.

The product seems fine and the swivel seems fine, but I wasn't able to use it. The tiny micro little blade was wobbling all over the place, and fell off the moment I tried it. I tried putting it back but it has nothing that will hold it in place, only a slit piece of plastic inside which goes no where in holding it in place. The bummer is that I ordered this from overseas and now cannot return it due to the expense of mailing this item back to Amazon. I ordered it to a domestic address in the US and a friend who was traveling brought the item to me (it comes well packaged, inside a plastic blister and with a sturdy plastic cap on the cutter. There was no damage per se on the item. Other than the fact that the blade didn't keep in place and fell off. So it is a low score for this item, in my case. Not to say other items like this one would work perfectly well.

The blade tends to stick without swiveling when trying to cut small or intricate curves. My advice- go with the Fiskar's swivel detail knife if you do fine detail work, but this is adequate for simple crafts.

I love that the blade spins. Makes projects like stencil making super efficient and easy. I even purchased extra blades because I'm positive I will be using this xacto knife a lot. The shape of the handle makes holding it easier and more comfortable than I assumed. It's included blade guard keeps the blade clean while making sure that a ditz like myself doesn't cut their toes off when they bump it off the table. The blade is super sharp and cuts with precision. Thanks for this wonderful product.5/5 stars imho

Purchased for my wife who wanted it to trace and cut stickers from the prints on her washi rolls. Works well. There's a very small learning curve for complete newbies like her. Use a very light hand if you're just cutting out washi. There's not much need to press down at all. The light pressure will make it easier to twist and glide the tip of the blade smoothly along curves. THIS THING ROLLS so don't just place it down on your table without its cap on or with something to brace itor you might find yourself chasing it in horror. Other than that, it has been performing flawlessly and we have no complaints.
