excellent functional movements for hands!
a great, durable hand trainer with a multitude of functional movements!... and, it comes in a little plastic with lid case.we purchased this for my wife, with the intention to reduce pain in her hands due to carpal tunnel issues... our thought is to conduct correct functional movements, in order to get her hands working properly again, thus reducing the pain... well!, 2 weeks and so far, so good!... she claims this is the best that her hands have felt for years!she places her hand in an ice bath for 20 minutes after going through the movements to reduce exercise induced inflammation, as well as carpal tunnel induced inflammation.we have suspected, along with some experience, that applying functional movements to a problem area in your physiology can be very productive and often eliminate injury, as injuries are often due to poor mechanics or poor form or an imbalance in an injury's origin.in addition to this item, we also got her the grip strengthener with multiple tension adjustment, which she is using for same purpose and just loves it; Hand Grip Strengthener Best Forearm Exerciser Strength Trainer Gripper for Finger Wrist Arm Exercises With Adjustable Resistance 22-88 Lbs (Packaging May Vary)very pleased, Thank you. :-)

Perfect
This is the exact same item that my physical therapist had, and I wanted to use one at home. It works out great. I highly recommend for the price.

Nice physical therapy item
I used to work in an office environment and was recommended this by a friend who also spent most of his day at the keyboard. I too was surprised about the powder - it should mention somewhere in the description that that's normal. I used it at first but the powder was annoying so I rinsed it off with water, no problems now.I do agree that it should have some instructions included, even just a thin pamphlet with diagrams and no words, so like a previous reviewer I took off a store. To be fair, I think this item is meant more for practicing doctors than for consumers, in which case the lack of instructions makes a little more sense. But still, the creator could market this more to consumers if they included instructions, and sell more of them. :)I ordered the blue one because I did not research carefully and didn't know there was a difference in the colors. The blue was a little too strong for me, if I could order again I would order one level easier. Still, I found it helpful, and my fingers felt good after using them. Like push-ups for my fingers. :) I would recommend not using it excessively, as then it would tire my fingers out - but that again could be due to me mistakenly buying one gauge too high, an easier one might not have this issue.

Should have chosen the easy one
Nothing at all wrong with the product but I should’ve purchased the easy one. This one does indeed provide a moderate amount of resistance which is apparently too much for me.

Holes are spaced for the largest of hands
If you wear a size small or medium glove, the holes might be spaced too far apart to provide an resistance at full hand extension. I like the feel of this device but it's not worth the therabranded premium.
