This unit is amazing. It has the flexibility of much higher priced units. Sure , you’re not gonna weld with it 8 hours straight or do heavy welding but to do repairs or small fabrications it’s perfect. I’ve welded for 50 years and have never had such success welding aluminum with a TIG torch. If you need to do heavier welding just get a bigger unit.

This is my first experience welding. I got this machine because it is one of the cheapest welders that can do AC for aluminum. I did have an issue at first with the HF start not working. Support walked me through the process of adjusting the spark gap and it works great now. I'm not sure why it's not included in the manual, but the spark gap should be 0.8mm. Support was very responsive from YesWelder, and they speak fluent English! One minor annoyance is that the machine will not save the AC/DC setting. Every time I turn it on it is in AC mode and I have to remember to switch back to DC.

I can't talk about how good the unit might have been if it worked for more than a couple minutes before blowing up internally and creating a shock and fire hazard. These units are built using sub standard parts that can fail and blow up. I thought maybe it couldn't be that bad, but you get what you pay for, and while the vendor will replace the unit, I will never use one again and I'm stuck with it. Fortunately I was not injured in the incident and was able to shut off the breaker before any serious damage other than scaring the **** out of me and some mild smoke inhalation occurred.

I have used this machine with on stick mode and it works great. However, it will not run at all with the 120 adapter. It sparks, but it just doesn't seem to give the machine enough power. On 240, it works great. I can't speak on the TIG settings because I haven't had a chance to get any argon. As a welder by trade, it's definitely good for the price

If you need to weld aluminum, get this!!!! I am self taught on welding, and previously purchased a dc tig welder. Found out that was wrong for thin aluminum. This was reasonably priced and works great with the stock settings. I am sure my welds would even be better with some fine tuning adjustments, which this machine offers. I would recommend this.

This thing is awesome

I’ve always wanted to learn how to weld. This welder has it all. HF start, pulse, foot peddle. This is the 3rd filler rod, never have welded a day in my life. Just learning on cr steel, but may move to other metals shortly. I’m extremely happy with the result so far. I purchased the foot peddle as well as the low profile cup accessory kit. And a 125cu bottle of argon from Amazon. Really everything including the cart in a turnkey solution. Very happy with my purchase.

Weather your a beginner or a professional welder this machine is a great choice especially at this price point I also bought the foot pedal to go with it. I needed an extra machine for an aluminum tig job I had coming up and this thing was fantastic for 1/8 th I did som 1/4 with it as well it’s only a 200 amp machine but it’s great. I recommend to anyone looking to get started tig welding it’s easy to set up and use. And has a lot of features for the price.

Absolutely amazing machine. Professional welder here, experienced in aluminum fabrication and welding, bought this machine to rebuild boat transom and keel. Machine comes filled with all the same settings as expensive name-brand machines. Only complaint is it does not seem to have a base amperage setting for foot pedal control. Overall very happy with it.

Amazing little machine for the price. Works extremely well for it's size, however the low amperage AC tig has issues triggering even the most expensive helmets. I've tried 5 different helmets ranging from Amazon brand all the way up to a Miller and it has the same problem. Just be careful with low amperage AC tig because you might get flashed accidentally unless you have a REALLY expensive helmet like a 3M Speeglas or equivalent.

Well worth the money even welded 12x2 flat aluminum for railing works good or just as good is my miller maxstar

Really disappointed in this machine. Obviously no QA, argon leaks right out of the connections on the tig torch right out of the box. Crimp connection on the hose connection not even tight and can't even service it without cutting the hose. Wont send gas to the torch at all just sprays out of the loose connection. Welds great with stick but whole machine just feels cheap as expected for a 700$ machine. Will be returning the product.
