I bought this for clays after I saw a range officer use one. I liked that i was collapsible. First of all they are lying when they say you can pick up 25 shells. Trying to get more than 8 is a waste of time. They should have made the magnet longer and it would have worked. Third time out one of the plastic guides that hold the two pieces together on the lowest part ( with the magnet) broke. So you need to hold the last section while removing the shotgun shells. So why did I give this 4 stars? Because it does work and it is a back saver and time saver. Just be aware the 25 shells is total BS and remember to hold the last section when removing the shells. I'm gong to order the rigid one and try that.

This pick stick really surprised me. I had one of these slightly cheaper Chinese knock-offs that are collapsible. I did not like how fragile that one was because the sum of all the clearances around the pole elements makes these sticks rattly and very awkward to use. The collapsible ones are also not very long so you still end up hunching over a bit to pick up the hulls. Well, this solid MOJO pick stick is nothing like that. Very sturdy, More like a hiking pole, really, with a very solid and sturdy hand piece with a lanyard. It can actually be extended to almost twice its collapsed length. The collapsed stick can be easily attached to a backpack or thrown in a trunk of a car. Absolutely no bending in any shape or form to pick up hulls 6 feet away. This pick stick is it!

I had some reservations but this product worked exactly as advertised. Picked up a good bit of shells, just as much as the standard variant. Handle is foam not plastic as shown in the pictures, what I actually appreciate. Great for fields that don't have sharable magnet sticks. Easily fits in a bag pocket.

Very happy with the product. The magnet works well on most hulls. Some hulls must have a different alloy that makes them less magnetic. The tool still picks them up although not as many or as reliably. The tool is shock corded and comes in a mesh bag, the Velcro strap that holds the pieces together catches on the bag and is the only dislike it have.
