5 Stars For Occasional Wire Fishing On A Budget
Is this a true 5 Star product? Not really. Is this a 5 Star product for the price? Yes.Item works to fish wires, but it is a pain to keep from unrolling and springing all over the place. I probably spent more time unrolling and rolling this back up neatly than I did actually pulling the wire. I thought I could interchange my other fish-stick attachments with this, but the sizes were different. That was my fault for assuming they would be the same.

First choice for when you need to get a fishtape in a packed raceway
As a commercial electrican thirty years running I have used all sorts of fishtapes most of which cost 5 or ten times as much as this one, usually for good reason. What is so special about this is that it is only 1/8 of an inch in diameter. Yes, the tape can't stand up to excessive abuse; one too tight a bend and it is toast; I have cheerfully snapped 3 of them already. It Will not replace a steel tape or 1/4" cross section glass or plastic, but it is not meant for general pulling of multiple wires anyway. But it can get you out that "I just need two more wires in that pipe" pinch simply can't be done by any other tool. And for $12.99. Very handy screw on and interchangeable ends, so you could daisy chain if desired. But do put a little tape on the threads so the ends don't get lost mid pull-or push.

Works great and it's cheap, what's not to like?
I bought this fish tape to assist in running some wire in my home theater. I ran a piece of conduit in the ceiling for HDMI to run between my AVR and the projector. I didn't want to spend much as I don't expect it'll get much use, but I did need something. This fit the bill. It was cheap and it worked out great for me. Worked perfectly to snake through the conduit and use it to pull the HDMI through. I would note you should use a little caution when unrolling it. It doesn't have the case around it so if you let it, I am sure it will fly everywhere and bird nest on you. I just took my time letting it out and when I rolled it back up, again took my time and used three velcro straps hold everything together once it was rolled back up. Bottom line is if you need one and don't want to spend much, this will get the job done.

Worked Great
I just got done using it to pull a small air hose through a pipe in my pond. It worked great. Fed through the pipe and around 2 elbows. It is quite stiff but after using it, I was able to create a roll small enough to hang in my shed out of the way. I'm happy with it.

My first fish
I have used a few of these in the past. This is the first one I have owned. I have been very pleased with its functionality and the different accessories that came with it. Like I say, I’ve never owned one before, but as far as a tool that’s easy to master, this one is pretty nice for the money.

Surprisingly good
I bought this because my tools including fish tapes were stolen, I wanted to replace with low cost items, I used this item for the first time today, 1/2" PVC run, only 20' but way over on bends, not wrong about that, I counted 3 90s and 5 45s. at least the bells were all going one direction. I unwrapped this thing and knew I was in for a struggle, if I had my vac and string, I would not have even used this item, but I did not have those, the thieves did. I stuck the end in the pipe and just knew I would be cutting pipe half way to facilitate getting fish tape to destination. I was more than surprised when this thing popped out the end! Without a drop of lube used!! All I could say was "No Way!" followed by thanks to the Almighty. At this price, I'm buying a second one for back-up. They need to develop a suitable winder, though. And I believe you will only be able to push this through the smaller diameter conduits

Perfect for corrugated conduit!
Worked so smoothly for 2" corrugated flex conduit. A Klein steel fish got stuck in less than a foot. So I bought this fiberglass fish and was through the 13 foot conduit with a U bend and another 90 degree turn in seconds! Only downside is letting it fully unravel to use it and then looping it up again.

Almost useless
Tried pushing this through 30 feet of pipe with a saddle offset.Almost impossible, way too thin and way too flimsy.Don’t even think about using this for pulling through enclosed spaces, it’ll just curl itself back up into a coil.

Not perfect but does the job done.
The tiny steel ball at the end of the hook, that help you to put easily, split in half after first use.
