Patterns of the Universe: A Coloring Adventure in Math and Beauty

Interesting Book
I bought this product because I like geometric/mathematical coloring. Then I found that the primary value of this book is not necessarily for coloring but for the highly interesting concepts that are presented with the pictures. I have colored some pages too. I will probably color more. The colorings do tend to take a while to complete. The paper quality is not fantastic as far as coloring books go. It is a square book smaller than a normal sized coloring book. Some other reviewers have said that it is too tightly bound and hard to get to the spine area to color. I don't really have an issue with this. I think it is normally bound for what it is, and maybe you can't get to the absolute inside of the page, but it doesn't really matter because you can get as far as you need to/as far as you can see. I had a lot of fun when I first got this book looking and reading through it and learning about these visual mathematical concepts. Sometimes the explanations are not as detailed as might be helpful, but whatever. Very cool and interesting book.

Quality book for fans of geometric designs
Bottom line: reccomend. For people who like tessellated and/or geometric designs or who enjoy designing patterns, this coloring book is a good choice.Pros: quality paper, wide variety of designs, range of difficulty, quality printing, sturdy binding- Cons: not for everyone and might be frustrating for some

Good book but not exactly what I wanted
Great pages but not very dark outlines and paper is kinda thin.

Sooo cool!
The book is so great. The patterns are amazing. It teaches you about geometry and patterns, lots of pics to just color but some give a pattern and numbers. It’s really the best if you enjoy coloring patterns. Great for anxiety.

Mixes the best parts of geometric mathematics with a relaxing creative outlet
I enjoyed this book very much admittedly im more in it for the pictures than the coloring, Our universe is beautiful and the laws of logic that govern science and math are mysterious. If you like pretty pictures, geometric structures, or coloring in lots of intricate details on trippy imaginary structures, this book is for YOU! I only wish it was longer, bigger and had more intricate explainations for the generated structures. Perhaps a small afterword chapter from the author would be nice. I liked it, 8/10.

I Always Wanted to Know That!
Each pattern has a brief description of the mathematics behind the pattern, and sometimes the mathematician, also. This is my very favorite pattern book because I now I know how each pattern was generated!

Math and Art Unite!
This, along with Alex and Edmund's other publication, Visions of the Universe, are my favorite coloring books! Aside from being a nice coloring experience (whether you need something big and loose and small and detailed) it is factually interesting and evidence of just how beautiful math can be.

Design is great, paper is thin and bleeds through.
Got this as a gift for my sister. She loves coloring mandelas, and loves the patterns and explanations. But the paper bleeds through. Her solution was to scan the design and print on a better quality paper. It would work fine with colored pencils or crayons, but not gel pens.

Excelente
Son patrones y formas muy interesantes.Lo único que le faltan es un poco más de explicación sobre el tema. Pero igual lo recomiendo.

Item as expected
Ordered as a gift for my Dad, it took a long time to be delivered but he is happy with it. A great book for abstract artists or surface pattern designers. But it is a colouring book not an art theory book.

LOVE IT!
Awesome book! I bought this to give as a gift but don't want to part with it. Colouring pages, patterns, but also a really exciting way to look at mathematics.
