Works exactly as I had hoped.
The media could not be loaded. I use it for connecting my dualsense to ps3 using the updated firmware and it works great. The SixAxis emulation works perfectly and even goes to 10bit precision like an oem dualshock 3. It cant use pressure face buttons but thats because the dualsense dosent monitor pressure at all. Both heavy and light rumble emulation work as well.

Amazing Converter
After using this for about a month, I think I can finally give an honest review of it.I decided to get this because I generally prefer my xbox controllers over my ps4/ps3 controller. It took a second to get the controllers hooked up wirelessly, but it's super easy to pair every other time going forward. What I really like about this converter is that I can't feel any noticeable input lag and it's so flawless to use that you forget how using the wrong controller for your system. I've connected wired and wirelessly anf they both work flawlessly. I'm honestly surprised that it's so easy.My only gripes are that when you turn off your console, the led lights blink and they're really bright. It gets pretty annoying and you might end up unplugging it. The other thing is that the touchpad button isn't naturally mapped to select, it's the share button. You can change the controls, but I don't know why they designed it to be this was. Touchpad click is infinitely more valuable than the share button since you can access the share menu by holding the ps button.Other than those minor gripes, this is a fantastic converter. I highly recommend picking this up if you have a favorite controller like I do. Definitely worth it. I do have to note, though, you can only pair one controller to each dongle.

Wireless is a little shady but it does the trick
Using this for my ps4 controller to my ps3. Worked out of the box and was able to sync right away. Wireless option kinda randomly stops working tho, the light is still on the ps4 controller but no input is going thru? I rather just play with a cord either way so no reason for a star loss because of that.

Best replacement for lost controller
I actually use a Brook Wingman XE for my PS3. The PS3 I got off a friend did not have the official PS3 controller(he got it used from his dad, and has no idea where the original controller went), which as you can imagine meant certain things were locked out, like PS2 games, or using the PS button for any function that required that. I spent months sourcing out the best place to buy a PS3 controller(that wasn't a fake) and found at the time that that would run me $100+ USD if I wanted an official one that would actually work(and even then it was a crap shoot on if I would get an official one or not). Then I found out about Wingman XE, $40(that's how much it was when I purchased this). Claimed it could connect just about any controller to a PS3 and it would function just like a PS3 controller, including all of the functions. Even the PS button. Thought, what the heck and bought it. Connected my PS5 controller(I don't actually own a PS5, just the controller) to it and bam, works. Everything works. It even recognizes the motion controls of the PS5 controller and translates them to the 6axis for games that support that(and far more accurately than the original 6axis) as well as full rumble. Best $40 I've ever spent.I did kinda screw mine up slightly. Somehow activated the button remap function(which I was under the impression was not possible for the PS controller, only XBox controllers as they needed it due to their face buttons buttons registering different than the PS controller or something like that). Which seems to have disabled all of the mimicry function(basically causing the PS3 to not see it as a PS3 controller any longer and disabling it's ability to fool the PS3 into believing that you have an official PS3 controller). But I swapped the firmware over to tournament mode(yes, it has that. Meant for tournaments as that mode disables functions like auto fire) and it's back to working order. For anyone in the future who might be reading this and wondering how I accidentally kinda broke the Wingman, so that you might avoid it yourself. I don't know the exact key press that actually cased it(they only have documentation on this for the XBox controller, which I found does not translate to the PS controller). But I do know that I was playing Final Fantasy 7, and in that game on the original PlayStation there was a thing you could do where you hit L1, R1, L2, R2, Start, Select and it would initiate a soft reset of the game(basically the game restarts without actually hitting the reset button on the console). Totally spacing that the PS3 has that function built in for all games on the PS menu. And that's when it happened. And there is ZERO documentation on how to reset the Wingman XE back to factory default(and hitting those buttons again does nothing that I can see). But as stated above, I swapped the firmware over the Tournament firmware and everything was fine. Swapping back to normal firmware reinstates the messed up functionality I caused. So I just leave it on Tournament firmware. I never used the extra bells and whistles that are available for normal mode any way. But this is why I knocked off a star for this otherwise five star product(not because of my failure, but because there is no way that I found to reset the device if a mistake is made).

Doesn't give FULL PS4 support
Pretty easy to hook-up and use, but if your game (like Last of Us Remake, and Last of Us 2) uses special features of the PS4 dual shock controller like the gyro controls (needed to keep the flashlight running in those two mentioned games by shaking the controller), you're out of luck. This makes this unusable for quite a few games on PS4 which is really a shame. They DID however update the firmware for games like Ghost of Tsushima for the swipe up/down/left/right on the touchpad functionality which is cool (well, except if you're on a Mac where they forgot to update that firmware for these features... Windows PC only...).

It just works!
I would like to clarify at the outset that I bought the Wingman XE2, and cancelled this order. I also bought it from a different website. But this product is just amazing. It was a bit tricky at first to get updated, but it works so well. I recently got a used PS3 and did not realize that original controllers cost a lot of money. I have a PS4 and I saw a recommendation for this item. The rumble works, wireless connectivity is seamless. It's a definite buy just because it supports a range of game pads and is just so good to use.
