What a great bike rack!
What a great bike rack. Very good quality and it works great. Very simple to load 2 bikes, secure them, and be on your way. Holds bikes securely and high enough off ground. Last bike rack we had needed an adaptor bar form women's bike. Bikes were too close to the ground so I had to take off one tire to transport and do all kinds of padding and straps. This Highland Rack requires none of that - would highly recommend it!

Cheap, Effective, Cheap
I got this rack because I have a carbon-frame bike which can be damaged by a rack that clamps on to the frame. The only other alternative is about $500, so I decided to give this a try. I drove from Philadelphia to Colorado with my bike on this rack, and the bike was absolutely fine. On the other hand, the rack shakes around a lot, and never really makes me feel like my bike is safe (even if it is). Also, the bike needs to be secured with long velcro straps, which take forever to put on and take off, and are easy to loose. When I have the money I'll definitely upgrade to the more expensive rack, but for now this one does the trick.

Versatile and Lightweight
Quite possibly the smartest value and design in a compact hitch rack! Carries two bikes securely with no parts of the bike swaying about. Takes apart quite easily for storage in the trunk when not in use. I use Nite Ize rubber twist ties from Home Depot instead of the included velcro, much more convenient and highly visible. Very happy with this purchase!

Great Flexible Design!
I bought this because I have both a recumbent bicycle and a road bike, and I needed to find a way to transport both when I did a cross-country bike ride. I didn't want to pay the $300 to $400 for a rack that fit the recumbent. This rack worked great for carrying both at the same time and the price is fantastic. As noted in other reviews it does wobble a bit, but it is well made and it didn't need to be strapped down. I used it in both a 1" receiver and a 2" receiver using the adapters. No problems. The only complaint I have is that the hold down straps are rubber with holes. They hold the bikes well, but are a real pain to get on and off when the weather is cold. I keep pliers in my gear bag so I can pry them off. When it's hot, they're pliable and easy to use. In short, I'm glad I found this rack!

OK but I Returned the Product
Worked okay, just bulky and hard to store, could not open suv hatch, did not attach solid. I have a 2 inch hitch and had to use the adapter which was loose and a sloppy fit. Not bad for the money, just didn't really work for my situation.

Car friendly bike rack
I like this rack because: * easy to install * light weight * bike (especially the painted frame) friendly I have racked 2 mountain bikes on one trip and two road bikes on another, both times it worked fine. Good decision

What a solid performer!
I took some time to choose a rack. Settled on this rack due to the non-corrosive aluminum. I am very pleased with this rack. I have a 2" receiver and have never used a more solid accessory that had a convertible 1 1/4" or 2" sleeve. There is absolutely no wobble what so ever when using this rack in a 2" receiver. The bumper pads on the boxed aluminum are positioned quite well to protect the bike. I chose this style also, (where the bike is mounted by the wheels) due to loading a woman's bike, it worked out perfectly. 480 miles one way, no movement. Easy to assemble, quick breakdown for hatch access, and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this rack.
