HiQuick 2800mAh AA Rechargeable Batteries High Capacity Performance, Per-charged 1.2V AA Batteries Pack of 8

If you are like us, you go through a LOT of batteries these days....remotes, cordless computer devices, smoke alarms.....dozens of places that need AA or AAA batteries. We finally decided to try rechargable batteries and these - in both sizes, have worked very well for us. I would caution that you will quickly find more and more spots you forgot need batteries and when the old traditional ones run out, if you are committed to the change, you will need enough rechargables to truly convert to them. I have bought several of these packages over the past year or so and we tend to recharge them as we get enough of them to do in batches. We have a couple of plastic storage boxes....one for those awaiting charge and the other for those that are charged and ready to use.They charge pretty rapidly and hold the charge well before actual use and do not seem to discharge any faster than traditional batteries.Given the number of traditional batteries we have recycled over the years, these rechargables have a double benefit...reducing the number of traditional batteries we had recycled and especially saving us money buying traditional batteries.

Used these to replace the batteries in three different shavers and trimmers. The after replacement results were very good. These are the highest mAh rated (2800), NiMH AA size batteries I could find and they provide great performance. The most obvious performance improvement was in the shaver which uses two cells. Once fully charged, the shaver worked better than new. I am very impressed. The trimmers also worked very well.I cannot speak to the longevity of the batteries, but my experience with replacing the batteries in shavers and trimmers has been good. As such, I expect these to hold up for many years.Note these rechargeable batteries are intended for use in any application that requires AA batteries and has recharge capability. However, they do not come with the pre-attached tabs necessary for installation on the circuit boards for shavers and trimmers. They are designed for drop-in installations only.

UPDATE (02.28.22) - (Dedicated customer support and commitment to quality).A few months after posting my initial review a representative form the company reached out to me (several times) to apologize and express their commitment to quality. In no way did they try to bribe me into rewriting a better review, but they did relay their wish to send me another set of batteries to replace the bad ones I had initially received.Shortly after agreeing, I was sent my 8 replacement batteries.To my surprise, unlike other NiMH sold on Amazon, these came DOA (dead on arrival). Of course my enthusiasm quickly diminished as I had to pull out my NiMH battery recharger to charge all 8.After 6-8 hours I had them all fully charged and ready to go. The last round of batteries from HiQuick would charge up to only show 100%, but when in actual usage would show a 50-60% charge. However, this new set showed a charge of 100% on both the charger, and in my devices (VR controllers).I’ve had them in the controllers for a few days, both in hours of play, and days of being idle. They have remained strong at 80%.So far, these batteries have proven themselves to be worth the $. Despite them coming in DOA, they fully charged within hours and seem to hold their charge and remain strong.With this, I’m updating my review and giving them 4 stars, one for the mishap of the bad batteries the first time around. I’ll check in to the review in a few weeks/months, and if they still perform well and hold their charges, I’ll update the score further.(original review)Bought these on March 2021. Charged them right out of the box and stored them until today.Put them in my in my VR headset controllers to find that they are now dead (see photo).Charged them to where the recharger indicator says they are full.Put them Back in my VR controllers to find they are only at 60%. Put them back in the recharger for another 4 hours to find out they only recharge up to 60%.Verdict- they don’t retain their charging capacity and bleed dry in less than 1 one year.Horrible brand. “Undependable” batteries are the worst, especially when you need them.

Not so reliable. Four months in to use without marked discharge, one battery is dead. Not a good predictor of reliability. UPDATE: in response to my review, the company offered a replacement or refund. I am going to try another set and see how they do. I give them 5+ for product support. let's hope this was dud in a lot of good batteries. Time will tell...
